INTRODUCTION
The aim of the report is to determine the Key issues that are faced by the LSST college of
London for bringing new online teaching services. This makes important for every company to
focus on digitalisation in order to reach global customers at their workplace (Martinez, 2019).
This increases the many problems and areas in their business environment which makes crucial
to find effective ways to overcome them. It involves technology, skills, competition as well as
knowledge. The following report includes the problems faced by the London School of Science
and Technology along with their impacts on the internal and external factors.

Many issues are faced by the London Science and technology while entering into new
market by using online technology. Digitalisation is one of the strategies that help organisation to
operate their business in the changing activity and area. The situation like Covid-19 and great
market competition makes online teaching important for the student in order to learn and reach
towards the wider platform. The primary aim of digitalisation is to provide convenient platforms
with the help of digital technology which helps LSST to gain advantages within the competitive
market. This makes important for the organisation in order to analyse their internal and external
factors that may provide great influence on their valuable areas (Freddi, 2018). By the use of
digital technology LSST can gain several benefits as well as operate their business functions
smoothly in Covid-19 situation. The college found more difficulties in order to find effective
strategies and activities that help in securing their growth. This makes important for the college
to focus on the certain areas which involves increased competition in the market, market
demands, as well as technological advancement. The college also need to know the issues in
order to achieve their objectives that can be finding by analysing their internal and external
business environment.
Target audience
It is an important factor which helps to analysis target audience of the company to
identify their needs and demands. It is helps to position the brand name and image which helps to

attract more customers from the market (Chen, and et.al., 2020). In relation to know about the
target market, the market can be analysis by the STP model which is the model of marketing
mix. It is an important model to analysis the market which are given below-
Segmentation: it is the term which helps to develop and growth the effective business
strategy. It is refers to the segment the market with different divisions which includes
age, place, income etc. in relation to LSST, students are divided into age categories where
above the 18 age group gets the high education degree. They only targeted those students
who has scholars from the different part of nation.
Targeting: it is refers to the target the audience by targeted market. In relation to LSST,
they target loyal students. They don’t target the market of UK and India. They have
effective customers which helps to solve the business problems. They targeted pass out
students of college which helps to engage the online teaching sessions.
Positioning: This factor helps to position the brand name and image. In relation to LSST,
the college needs to set and increase the brand image which helps to aware the students
and their parents (Yan, and et.al., 2019). It is helps to analysis that how they can
influence the students to get admission to take online sessions. They facing issues at large
level to promoting their brand and services.

environment of a company. it is helps to analysis the issues which is faced by the organization.

Political Factor: it is defined as the elements which includes tax policies, Changes in
trade restriction and stability of governments which is helps to determine the any changes in new
legislation, which will affect the business in the future. In context to LSST, they have the largest
market in the UK which operates across in various countries. Educational institutes will be
impact by the change in trade and tax policies for their online learning platforms.
Economic Factor: it is defined as the elements which includes interest rates, inflation
rates, gross domestic product, unemployment rates, levels of disposable income, and the general
growth or decline of the economy (Krasinskaya, 2020). In relation to LSST college, they

Social Factor: It is defined as the factor which includes the culture, heath, population
growth rates, age, gender, attitudes, and safety which is help company to develop the better
market strategies. In relation to LSST college, these all factors can directly impact on
admissions. Where they need to understand by the board member of LSST college. There are
many problems which is faced by the LSST college including they faced there are many types of
different students and they need that college provide online platforms which helps the students to
study with their home. It is shows that it is necessary to development the planning areas.
Technological Factor: It is defined as the term of e-commerce technologies which
includes production, logistics, production techniques, information resources etc. it is the function
which is used for analysis the alternatives programs with technological techniques (Burgess,
2020). In context to LSST college, they provide online learning where technology factor plays a
vital role to provide online learning which can be possible by the networks, online apps, software
etc. it will help the LSST to attract more students for online platforms which they provided.
Legal Factor: Legal factor includes such as industry regulations, labour laws, resources,
taxation, imports/exports, legislation etc. In relation to LSST college, Equality act helps to
protect the people in legal terms which helps to discrimination of educational institutes. This act
helps to build the relation between co-workers. This act of 2010. Another act of 1974, which is
for health and safety which helps to give safe environment to their employees which helps to
increase the morale of employee and also helps to improve the productivity.
Environmental Factor: This is defined as the factor which affected by air, weather,
climate, temperature, nature, landforms etc., which will affect the everyday living, health,
industry, agriculture etc. In relation to LSST college, the environmental issues creating many
impacts which emphasize the growth and development the economy. In this factor college has
not faced so many issues to provide the online learning platforms.

By analysing the external factors, target customer and the other areas of the organisation,
several issues have been identified that affect their business growth. Because of increasing
competition and global digitalisation many issues have been faced by the LSST in dynamic

market. These issues are affecting their objective in order to reach global customers. These issues
are described below:
Bad promotional strategy: This refers to the major issue that LSST faced in order to
promote their service in global market. It has been analysed that LSST is not that effective in
order to promote their brand and service through advertising or social media marketing (Pugsley,
2018). This makes organisation unable to attract more students from different locations. This
affects the performance of LSST due to which their growth also affected.
Technological advancement issue: Technology is the factor that is developing and
advancing rapidly. Due to this performance of LSST is also affected. As it also provides impacts
of the different digital tools of the organisation as it needed huge investment as well as experts. It
also creates problem for them in order to achieve their objective of providing inline teaching
service to their students. This makes organisation to use effective software and technology in
order to overcome these issues as well as avoid other challenges that may arise at the time of
online teaching (Lo and Campos, 2018). This well also helps teacher to adapt new changes in
better manner in order to provide effective teaching to their students.
Inappropriate communication: Communication is important for clearing changes in the
teaching programmes of the college. Without proper communication a good relation cannot be
develop among the teachers and students. It also describes an issue for the LSST which is
required to overcome in order to achieve the goals and objectives. Due to inappropriate
communication, proper coordination and management in the learning area is affecting. This
makes LSST in provide effective communication platforms and tools to their teachers and
students in order to make learning and teaching effective in the organisation.

From the above-mentioned report, it has been concluded that business environment is
dynamic and complex that involves certain factors. It has been analysed that there are certain
factors in the external environment of an organisation that are social, environmental, political,
technological, economic, technological and legal that creates problem for the company in order
to achieve their organisational gaols. The problems which have been identified in this report
include technological advancement, ineffective communication and poor promotional strategy.
