INTRODUCTION
A reflective account is a summary provided by an individual on personal experiences and
knowledge that a person received during a particular course or a process going on. In order to
reflect upon certain activities and practices there are several criteria and values which are
overlooked. The present report is a reflective summary about learning and experiences of an
individual during a course work of 12 weeks where every week a new aspect is examined and
explored by the individual. The reflective summary also highlights and showcase over the
usefulness of different modules learnt by the learner in his or her professional, personal and
academic development.
MAIN BODY
Week 01 - Assessment of skills
In the first week of The course work I emphasis was imposed upon assessment of of
personal skills through different activities and tasks. We were involved in number of activities in
order to examine and critically assessing are personal capabilities and skill sets. During the first
week we focus upon all the transferable skills every individual student had as well as the
technical talents. As per my personal perspective and experience the first week was very
important as it enabled me to identify all the weaknesses and valuable abilities I hold which are
helpful for me in my personal, professional and academic development. During the entire week
identified several different capabilities and weaknesses which are helpful for me and on certain
transferable capabilities on which I need to work in order to be professionally valuable and
successful.
Week 02 - Occupational choices
The second week of the learning module was dedicated towards understanding the
professional choices and the occupational choices available to me. basically during the entire
week I was focused upon identifying the career planning and occupational choices that are
valuable and most productive for me as an individual. During the week I was asked by my tutor
to reflect upon certain skills which are my strengths and value as well as interest of me. On the
other hand the also conducted discussion about the weakening areas that can act as a future
challenges for me in my career path. Along the week I also determined that I wish to work with
Amazon the multinational organisation as it holds several opportunities for the individuals and

employees working within it. The entire week help me in choosing my professional path and
developing a professional goal.
Week 03 – Self-leadership
In the third week of the semester a new learning was gathered by me that is self
leadership. Before this week I have never came across the term of self leadership, identify the
importance of it from myself as an individual professional and also why it is important for
business owners and politicians. This entire week enhance my understanding about self
leadership and the value it provides to professionals which enabled me to learn and develop
personally and academically. The self leadership concept is not only valuable and important for
me to learn as an individual but it also plays a very important role in my academic learning.
Week 04 - Emotional and multiple intelligence
The fourth week during the semester was revolving around the notion of emotional and
multiple intelligence. As per my personal perspective emotional intelligence is a very important
issue in day to day lives of people in their professional or personal settings. Therefore, entire
week held me in learning about certain skills which are useful in developing emotional
intelligence. the skills like empathy and social skills are the important component of an
individual's emotional intelligence. Hence, during this week I develop to personally bi learning
about my competencies as well as lacking areas in context of emotional intelligence and also I
understand the impact it imposes in a negative form upon my personal growth and personality.
Week 05 - CV writing and interview skills
In the fifth week of my semester and professional, personal and academic development
the module was about learning skills to develop a professional Curriculum Vitae (CV) and to
learn about various which are essential to hold by a professional while appearing into an
interview. To be very honest I had some understanding about CV writing and important
interview skills and It helped me in enjoying the entire session. Also during this week I was very
happy that the tutor was very straight forward as well as a dressing all the genuine comments of
the students. This week help me in professional development as it provided me a new view point
over developing I am writing my personal CV by using more creative techniques along with it
there were several interview capabilities as well which identified and you will be helpful for me
in future while procuring my job.

Week 06 - Reflective Writing
The next week was very important and which is very helpful for me to write this reflect
the summary as it was all about reflective writing skills and different reflective models available
for people to use in order to reflect upon their experiences and knowledge. The sixth week held
me in learning about different reflective models such as Gibbs reflective cycle. This is a common
platform used by professionals to share their experiences and it help me in developing a
professional view point and learning about how to write a potential reflective account by
addressing various areas which are important.
Week 07 - Assessing yourself
The 7th week of the semester was useful for me as during the entire week I was learning
about how to write a strong and a valuable self evaluation report that is a personal statement for
the employers to introduce them by me through a statement. In this week ok I was learning about
different techniques provided by McKinsey about writing a self evaluation report. Who was this
entire week helped me in in in giving a professional view point over how to be effective self
assessor of self capabilities.
Week 08 - Work context analysis
The next week was of all about work context analysis in which I was learning about
different internal and external factors that are overlooked by an entity to grow and which can
affect their Productivity and profitability as well as long-term efficiency. This is a very
prominent week for me as it provided me e ample knowledge about how a company make
judgements and decisions on the basis of internal and external factors surrounded by them.
Therefore, it enhanced my professional capabilities and provided me a smooth understanding
about how to analyse internal and external factors for growth and success of company.
Week 09 - Negotiation skills
Moving to the next week I was learning about negotiation skills and the psychology
behind it. This week helped me in identifying and important aspect of negotiation that is it is
mainly concentrated on cross culture communication and the abilities that must be earned and
emerged by an individual working in a professional setting that is in an organisation. During this
week we have also gone through number of organisational examples which created distress due
to lack of negotiation skills. Examples help me in gaining a professional viewpoint about how an

individual should work towards developing effective professional skills while dealing with cross
cultural environment on the job post within an entity.
Week 10 - Coaching skills
The third last week was the 10th week of my semester was elaborating and discussing
about different coaching skills which is mainly focus about holding coaching and leadership
capabilities which has and individual in providing appropriate guidance to the juniors that are
working under them or who have recently joined the professional setting. This week again help
to me in gaining a professional capability and lead me towards my professional development.
Week 11 - What Recruiter are looking for and avoiding mistakes
The second last week of the semester that is the 11th week of my studies I was gaining
knowledge and feedback from a tutor about what are the certain mistakes that we did in our past
models and learning which are not acceptable by the recruiters when we are working in a
professional setting as well as which imposes a negative impression on our job application. This
week was an eye opener for me as I was provided enough knowledge and guidance by my tutor
about certain important areas which needed improvement in me as I was looking over to enter
the professional field and the retail market.
Week 12 - Web developer portfolio
The last week of the semester I was being neutered about creating a web developer
portfolio in order to prepare a good marks in the entire semester. The ultimate agenda of this
entire semester was to provide me enough knowledge and capability to become a good guest
speaker and perform well on the respective role. The week helped me and guided me towards the
skills that I need to become a good speaker and during the week identify that I need to work
upon my critical thinking abilities as well as analytical competencies in order to perform the
given job role.
