INTRODUCTION
The chosen firm for this report is Marks and Spencer (M&S) which is operated in
retail industry. The current study will help provide different types of organization, along with
its offered services. Further it critically evaluate the organization’s structure, size and scope
with detail explanation of how the functions are interrelated with the chosen organization.
1. Different type of organization
Public organizations: This type of organization are made for not earning purpose and
offer goods and services for the welfare of a society or community. This type of organization
are operated under government (Contractor and et.al., 2020). For example, British Petroleum
Private organizations: This type of firm are establish to earn profit and also include
all the business that are for profit and did not operated under the government. They earn to
feed their family with an aim to increase the performance. For example, Marks and Spencer.
Voluntary organization: This type of organization main purpose of to create the

of the business association. It is seen that any association set a huge objective as their target
when they have a decent authoritative structure. In the event that the association have not
many individuals in their hierarchical structure and nobody has information with respect to
their job and subordinate then it isn't feasible for them to arrive at the objective since then it
is difficult to accomplish this in view of less clarity in the job. Then again, any business
association set their goal dependent on their size (Nolli and Beuren, 2020). On the off chance
that the size of the association is enormous and puts away greater cash, at that point they set
the big objective as their business objective. Notwithstanding, every association has some
basic target that is serving clients and acquires benefit, yet the benefit level varies with the
size. For instance, for M&S the objective set will be higher but of the British Petroleum and
Oxfam will be small. Objectives are also set using the scope of the company, if the purpose is
to serve the nation then the objective will be according to it. As per the products and services,
a company set up its structure, size and scope. For example, M&S sees that it requires a
massive corporate structure, then it set it.

Marketing and HR: It is the integral part of every organization which works on
building relationship. This department is interrelated to HR in terms of preparing the job
description for recruiting the right candidate.
Finance and operation: The finance department provides funds to the operation
department for carrying out its operating business activities for a specific period (Rasheed
and et.al., 2017). The operation department carries out its costing and provides the same to
the finance division for acquiring the required funds.
Marketing and production: The outcome of the market research is provided to the
production department in order to develop the product as per the requirement. The production
department helps in ensuring that the product is developed as the changing needs and the
demand of the customer, the research on which is being carried out by the marketing division.
