1M2M TECHNOLOGY
PROS AND CONS OF M2M:
M2M technology s referred to the ability of the assets, machines and the devices to exchange the
required data with the people or the management of the company in order to gather information
(Elmangoush, Al-Hezmi, and Magedanz, 2013). This strategy has been derived from the
telemetry technology and uses an updated version of the same (Alamanda, Prabowo, Agustina
Yuldinawati and Amani 2018). Business in present days are evolving in nature and in order to
keep themselves relevant and making the profit margins they are aiming at global expansion and
a strong customer base. M2M technology offers these companies a great scope of providing
secured internet access to any place at any speed. This technological innovation has paved ways
for further development in business. The companies that use N2M in their products have the
following benefits:
1. The usage of the advanced censors and the hi tech chips in the products make the company
having an upper hand of monitoring the overall state of the product or machine. This gives an
indication of how the product will work. in case of the detection of failure in vibrations, sensors,
temperatures etc, the system has the ability of automatically communicating the informations to
the devices that are connected with it and thus, the workers get the idea of where the problem lies
and it can be fixed immediately (Morrish, 2015).
2. The M2M technology enhances the performances of the machines and in turn enhance the
productivity as well. this is possible because the connecting devices have the ability of spotting
the warning signs and hence make the company able to take the preventive maintenance tasks
(Papadopoulos and Martn Martin 2011).

3. the sensors presented in the M2M technology based products help in monitoring the condition
of certain products when they are connected to the containers that stores chemicals.
4. Though the technology is quite new in the market, it has already made itself a popular feature
since it is cheap and has all the required abilities to monitor the process, store data and manage
the product.
However, like any other strategies, the M2M strategy also is not devoid of disadvantages.
The usage of cloud computing in the technologies makes the companies dependent on others,
which can be risky at times. The companies also have the concern about the security of the data.
Another major problem of the technology is that it has been devised for a small number of
network devices and thus are not suitable for bulk manufacturing. The requirement of constant
internet connection for the running of the technology is also a problem in various cases (Jalali,
2013).
BENEFITS OF CONSUMER TO ENGAGE IN M2M:
In the present business scenario, the retailers have increased the efficiencies and management of
the M2M technology for engaging the consumers with the routine operations like with vending
machines, mobile payment solutions, digital signage and others by means of using M2M
technology (Nie and Zhai 2013). The customer interactions in the retail sectors have enhanced
drastically with the new method. This helps in generating more confidence from the customers
and the companies get a competitive advantage over others since the ease of the customers are
enhanced. For example, the products having a M2M technologies is connected with whether
insights , personal station network, health and business trackers etc that are mainly sought after
by the present day customers (Doole, Lowe and Kenyon 2016). The mobile payment solution
