Abstract
The current project is based on the topic of the identifying the challenges faced by
translators in translating world's most famous children’s literature into other languages for which
an investigation is taken on to determine the challenges faced by the translators in translating
literature into other languages. Beside this, the main purpose of current study also comprises of
the examining the ways that would be used by translators to overcome their fear of translating
the literature into other language. Along with this, undertaking of secondary research based
investigation has been conducted within current project to ensure the systemic analysis of pre-
existing literature to meet the set objective in effective manner. Further, the current study also
includes a valid research findings and analysis together with recommendation and conclusion.

Introduction
Translator is mainly defined as an individual who translate from one language to another.
This is basically a profession in which translator plays a direct role in formulating
communication with target audience (Ebrahimi, 2020). In addition to this it has been analysed
and the main role of translator is to effectively assures that original message is being properly
communicated without making any distortion or changes in the tone. Translates plays important
role, as these individuals help other person to understand the things who speaks in different
language. Translators communicate effectively one language into another by putting same
meaning as well as tone. With the help of taking advantage of advanced language knowledge,
excellent translating skill, in-depth cultural knowledge, sound research skill and computing and
best practice translation and review processes translators assures that they conduct proper
translating process. In addition to that it has been underlined that children literature is mainly
defined as books that are published and written for young people those who are not interested in
adult literature. There are different types of children literature such as traditional picture books,
biography, nonfiction fiction and poetry etc. The present research analysed the role of translators
in translating the world most famous children literature into other languages along with the
challenges that they are facing.
The present research include discussion on the challenges that translators face in the
process of translating world’s most famous children literature into other language. The study has
been conducted on children literature. Furthermore research include analysis of the way
translators are afraid of translating world’s most famous literature into other language and also
include discussion on the challenges that has been faced by them during the translating process.
The research also include discussion on the manner that translators can significantly undertake or
use to overcome the fear of translating the literature into other language. In order to accomplish
research aims and objectives proper literature review analysis has been included in this research
which helps in determining the viewpoint of various authors on the selected topic. In addition to
this research also include research methodology in which investigator undertaking use of
appropriate research methods and techniques to execute research in effective manner and
accomplish overall research aims and objectives. Along with this discussion on the collected data
and facts certain recommended practices is also being included in this research.

Background
Translation is mainly defined as a process by which translator can translate a language in
other language in order to produce the same outcome. It has been analysed that in this process
there are number of challenges that translator can face which affects their overall transaction
translation ability and generate fear. The present research include the aim which is to identify the
challenges translator face in translating world’s most famous children literature into other
language. In addition to this there are certain objects in this research such as why translators are
afraid of translating the most famous literature into other languages along with the challenges
and the manner that can be undertaken by translator to overcome their fear of translating the
literature into other language. With the help of executing and accomplishing all these research
objectives different ways through which the fear of translation can be overcome in a well defined
and effective manner. Furthermore it has been analysed at present research also include flopper

help in determining the overall objectives in a well defined and effective manner. Along with this

Review of problem/issue
During the process of translation there are some certain challenges that a translator face
which not only creates fear among them but also affects their ability of translation. It has been
analysed that the present research include number of challenges such as translating without
changing the original tone of the author, considering dual relationship, defining proper tone and
style, translating names titles and having the same cultural expressions are some of the
challenges that has been reviewed in the research. These are some certain problems and issues
that investigator face which will help in determining the ways that can be used by translators to
overcome their fear of translating the literature into other language. In addition to this present
research include the aim which is to identify the challenges the translator faced in translating the
most famous children language into other languages. This will include various challenges that
translators are facing. In this with the help of journalizing all these objectives with the help of
appropriate methods the problem can be overcome in effective manner. With the help of taking
use of appropriate research methods data collection techniques and data analysis method

Rationale for selection of topic
The present selection of research topic is rational as it is conducted on reason why
translators are afraid of translating world most famous literature into other language. This helps
in underlining the challenges that translators are facing along with various ways through which
they can overcome their fear of translating the literature in effective manner. With the help of
this research translators can not only have proper strategies to overcome their fear but can also
conduct translation process in effective manner while assuring successful outcome. In addition to
this has been underlined that present research is also rational as it will help in enhancing current
level of skill and knowledge of investigator on the selected topic that will further help
investigator to execute research topic in future in effective manner. Along with this it has been
underlined at present research topic is also rational as it will build capability and various skills of

Literature Review
Introduction
Literature Review is an important part of the overall research work. It includes necessary
information from the viewpoints of different authors. Basically, literature reviews cover the
opinions, thoughts of various authors on a specific topic. This is helpful in developing
knowledge regarding a particular topic. In other words, literature review is considered as an
overview of the previous work on a particular area of research. In context of research, Literature
review can be understood as the comprehensive summary of already available information on a
particular research topic (Hanley and et. al., 2019). Here, the information is based on surveys,
articles, books, reviews and more. This review is likely to evaluate, summarize and clarify the
previous research work in an efficient manner. By having necessary literature review, it is easy
to develop knowledge and understanding on a particular topic in an efficient manner. While
writing LR, it is important to analyze the perspectives of different authors with an aim to develop
knowledge base in significant manner (Kamble, Gunasekaran and Gawankar, 2018). In this
context, the respective chapter of research report is highly crucial in terms of gaining necessary
information on a particular subject. The present report is going to cover previous studies
regarding translation of words into other language. Further, it will also include necessary
information regarding the challenges encountered by the translators while translating the most
famous literature. In this regard, different types of literatures are given below:

It is identified that transferring the literature in other languages is the most difficult
translation. Here, it is quite difficult to translate the book of numerous pages into another
language. While writing a particular book or article, author is likely to follow a particular tone. It
is quite complex to make necessary changes in such tones during translation. It affects the
translation work in significant manner (Schleiermacher and Bernofsky, 2021). To translate the
original work properly, the translator needs to have sufficient knowledge regarding the subject
matter. It allows the experts to facilitate accuracy in the work. While translating the book, there
is fear to change the tone of author. Hence, it is important to ensure that the translation process
does not affect writing style and tone of author. It is found that the choice of world is not highly

exaggerating and literal relatively to the original work. For this purpose, there is requirement to
focus on perfect words during translation.
Children literature includes numerous books, literature, wide range of work, easy-to-read
stories and more which are written specifically for children. It also includes fairy tales, definition
of fiction and non-fiction along with other transmitted material on primarily basis. There are
several authors who have been written books, articles, journals and more regarding children
entertainment. Basically, children literature is defined as the information that is written for the
purpose to entertainment of children. In this, different types of material including fiction, non-
fiction and more are covered efficiently. This type of information can be generated in digital or
physical formal. In context of Children literature, the four major stakeholders are mentioned
below:
The translator: Translating is not considered as a proper job. Here, one needs to translate the
content which already has been written by someone. Here, the translator does the copy of that
work in a specific language. Translating stands for making decisions about the child reader of
future and about the publisher or intermediary groups and more. Being a translator, one can get
the status of second author profoundly (Rubio, 2021).
The author: Author also likely to play similar role like translators in respect to the responsibility
towards child readers and their social status. Also, they have a tendency to influence the readers
profoundly in direct or indirect manner. Unlike authors, translators have to stick with the content
whereas author can freely choose the story.
The Publisher: Like businesses, the main aim of publish houses is to earn high amount of profit.
They look forward to do more and more sales to earn higher amount of profit. Stick with the
budget, they are likely to chose the lists of the books to publish. It is analyzed that publishers are
likely to select the books of some well-known authors to gain better profit in future period of
time.
The Critic: Critics are likely to assess the information so that they can maintain balance between
interest of audience and quality of report. Here, they need to make necessary allowances for
cultural differences. The entire process can be start with empathy but eventually it should be

critical. There is requirement to consider the additional factors while evaluating the content of
authors and translators.
Translators are really afraid while translating the literature of children. While translating
such literature, there is requirement of a lot of creativity. Also, there is no such specific rules &
regulations to transmit the literature of children. In addition to this, translation of names is also
difficult while dealing with children’s literature. During translation, there might be a huge list of
possibilities (Babaeva, 2021). Certain translators are not likely to localize them as they are
considered as an crucial part of identity of narration. Also, there is requirement to make certain
changes in spellings in order to enhance the readability of overall study. Some people demand to
translate the names in descriptive manner so that they can read those names easily. As per this,
there are no proper guidelines as well as rules to use the best practice. In each and every
particular case, the translator is required to do work with own choice (THE CHALLENGES OF

the names, translating the titles is not an easy practice. There are certain challenges in terms of
styles and tones. In case of titles, there is requirement to consider certain specific aspects as an
attractive title is helpful in gaining the attention of readers. Following such aspect is highly
important. During the translation practice, it is highly important to pay attention towards two
most important practices such as ensuring continuity between text & title or making an
explanation of theme. This is the most crucial aspect in order to translate the literature in
profound manner.
Translation of children’s literature is not a straightforward practice. Apart from the
manipulation, there are several other problem lies in terms of translation of literature. As the
children have limited amount of experience, translators often found problems to adjust their texts
as per the requirements of children. While the culture is similar, it is easy to translate the
information. It is because the language of similar culture is also same. Apart from this, the
grammar, language pattern are also similar. In addition to this, culture of a country is
represented by the children literature. Also, it determines the moral, political values so that the
children can equated with familiar ideas. It is found that target language and source language is
helpful in the translation process (Nel, Paul and Christensen, 2021). Apart from this, regional
effects also affect the CHL in profound manner. In terms of international understanding, there

are numerous geographical regions which are closely linked with each-other. It might facilitate
or hinder the contribution of children literature. In each and every region import of books depicts
the similar pattern. Sometimes, certain books are not fit in a particular culture. Then, it is
suggested to do not translate such books.
Generally, the majority of books consisting children’s literature originated from the
countries that have related language or similar sociocultural structures. In shaping the culture of
a particular country, numerous factors such as political values, social structure and more are
likely to contribute significantly. Here, culture is likely to vary from one country to the other.
Also, there might be some overlaps that will enhance the closer of such countries in politically
and geographically manner (Liao and et. al., 2018). In context of children literature, it is quite
difficult to evaluate certain aspects. Translating the content is not an easy job whether it is for
adults or children. It is found that translating the children literature is more tough as the
translator is required to fulfill the expectations of immediate groups such as parents, publishers
and more. Also, meetings with the standards of translation theory, linguistics is not an easy
practice. While translating the children literature, translator cannot write freely. There is
requirement to take care of preciseness and more. Translator needs to be precise and to the point
as the concentration span of children is shorter. Here, translator needs to consider the audience
whether they are adults or children while following the translating practices. Apart from this,
children translator needs to work as per the age of children, they are addressing. Besides this,
there is requirement to devote additional time in terms of searching the culture specific
information in significant manner. Unlike the adults translators, children translator found it
difficult to maintaining combination between cognitive and linguistic abilities of children. These
principles cannot be implemented without considering the immature receivers. Therefore, it is
not easy for the translators to translate the entire content into other language. As per mentioned
in the above-information, they have to face numerous issues while translating the content of
