Introduction
According to the declaration by Macey Hargreaves, the changes in the existing technology would be
brought about by the organization by replacing the existing technology. Previously the data gathering
and management were done in the primitive ways by which normally it has been done. The change in
the technology would be brought about by the Ad Hoc Technology that would be required to be
assessed by the T&D department to see if the employees would be comfortable with the expected
changes (Yaqoob et al. 2016). The T&D department wants the changes to increase the productivity,
however, the survey needs to be conducted to find out how the other employees within the
organization would accept the changes that would mean the obvious changes in their daily activities.
Survey Results of the employees
The survey was conducted amongst the people or the employees within the organization to find out
how the changes would be accepted by them since they used to perform the data and information
management with the primary software like Microsoft Excel and other primitive software. The use of
Ad Hoc would be economically feasible for the organization, however, the survey was required to find
out the mind set of the employees in relation to the change.

Discussion about the outcome of the survey
From the discussion conducted about the survey based on the proposed change in the existing
technology of using primitive software as MS Excel for the management of data and information to
Ad Hoc, it was found that the employees are of the idea that the changes that needs to be brought
about regarding the technology would indeed be beneficial to the organization. However, they were
asking for the requirement of a training session before the changes actually were implemented to be
more aware about the feasible use of the Ad Hoc technology. The employees were asking for the
training session for the further benefit of the organization.

Web Research on the existing and the new technology
According to various researches conducted over the years related to the Ad Hoc technology, it was
found that the business organizations previously used the different analytical software for the
analysis of the data. This was found to be problematic since the business reports would become more
complex with the passing time given the various amounts of the information generation within the
organization. Ad Hoc is driven by big data technology that is mostly generated because of the huge
rise in the amount of the business information in all the industries over the past few years (Liu et al.
2016). The Ad-Hoc network is based upon a local area network or LAN that is prepared as a
technology which is the most spontaneous in connecting devices through Windows operating system.
The connection mode allows all the computers for directly communicating with each other followed
by the help of a router. Mostly organisation uses ad hoc for multi hopping between fixated wireless
communication and transmission of information throughout the organisation without the need of any
infrastructure (Pathan 2016). It does not require an access point and is extremely easy for setting up
within a small network or temporary network.
The previous MS Excel software would fall short of all the advantages that Ad Hoc technology
would bring about in the organization given the huge amount of generated information for the
increasingly complex background of the organization.
Conclusion
Therefore, in conclusion, it can be said that the Ad Hoc technology would be providing ample
benefits to Macey’s as per the T&D department and Macey Hargreaves, but as per the conducted
survey over the employees in the organization, it was found that they are also positive about the
change and think that it would bring about positive changes with increased productivity. However,
they were asking for the establishment of a training session as they are not used to the technology
right at this point of time. This was established by the interviews conducted with the employees and
their results.
