Proposed Title
The research proposal focuses on understanding the “Use of Machine Learning to track and
project human population movement through internet of things”.
Outline of the proposed research
Machine leaning is considered the scientific study of algorithms and statistical models which
supports the computer to perform particular tasks 1. The study of mathematical optimization
offers various techniques, approaches and application domains in the area of machine learning.
The machine learning supports in providing various benefits which include in track the
movement of human population without the intervention of the human but it also provides the
opportunity to the human to change the programs according to their needs and requirement 2.
Therefore, through this business can increase their sales and profitability by projecting the
population movement so that human activities will be tracked. Furthermore the investigation
revealed that through the advancement of Artificial intelligence systems the ability of decision
making by including the intervention of human by executing the decisions 3. The internet of
things is used to understand the movement of human from one place to another. In this proposal,
the objective of the proposal, methodologies which supports in achieving the objective of the
research is also discussed. The discussion is also made on defining the time frame by which each
activity of the research take place.
Background
Machine learning also used by various different industries so that they can track the human
movement and conduct their operations accordingly, this supports in maintaining effectiveness in
the business 4. It is estimate that the development of machine learning is done through focusing
on various aspects which includes “breach of privacy”, “expected job loss” and “reliance on
technology”. This supports in providing benefits to the institutions to gather important data so
that better decision making is done in the business institutions. This also leads in maintaining the
flow of information in more efficient manner.

Machine learning increase the capability of the user to makes changes in the functions according
to the needs and requirements 5. It is important because it leads in analyzing and evaluating the
structure and data for making decision without including the interaction of the human. There
algorithm leads in improving the future decisions of the business and for the users who all adopt
this to maintain efficiency and effectiveness in the decisions. It is applied in all the industries it is
because companies used this to understand the movement of human by adopting internet of
things 6.
Purpose
The retail, healthcare and several other industries use machine learning in which it gather various
useful information and supports in providing various other advantages which includes
maintaining and monitoring of the data. In the healthcare industry, it supports in providing
information about the patients so that disease from which the patients are suffering will be
identified6. Therefore, the main aim of the research will be understanding “The impact for using
of Machine Learning to track and project human population movement through internet of things
in business”. To achieve the major objective of the research various sets of objectives is also
identified:-
 To understand “the related use of machine learning”
 To analyze “the importance of machine learning in business”
 To examine “the use of Machine Learning to track and project human population
movement through internet of things in business”
Rationale
The research proposal describe that present research will be important because it provide the
opportunity to the other business and industry to adopt machine learning for tracking the human
movement so that efficient flow of data will be managed in the industry. This also support in
providing information regarding the benefits which it provide in data management of the
customers and employees in the business, through which the efficient operations and information
is maintained in the companies.
This supports other companies to develop strategies and policies data management through
machine learning through using internet of things. Therefore, this research will be important

because it provide complete overview of the machine learning through including the opinions of
different authors and executives. It is because by this validity, accuracy and reliability of the
research is maintained. Machine learning does not require human intervention but in this human
can make changes according to their needs and requirement.
Research topic and central research question
The research topic focuses on identifying the application of machine learning for tracking the
movement of human population through using internet of things. In this it provides the
knowledge regarding the data which business manages through using it so that effectiveness is
manage in the operations of functions. This supports the business to track the activities and
functions automatically without intervention. Therefore, the research proposal focuses on various
research questions so that aim of the study will be achieved which includes:-
 “Describe the reasons of using machine learning?”
 “What is the significance of machine learning in the business?”
 ‘Describe the effect for using the Machine Learning to track and project human
population movement through internet of things in business?”
These questions provide appropriate information regarding the application of machine learning,
therefore it is estimated that the user also make use of various ant-virus software for ensuring
that project is conducted in effective manner. Furthermore, the developers conduct evaluation
and investigation check regularly to find that the data which is manage by machine learning is
correct; this is because it does not entirely overcome human intelligence.
Methodological Approach
In the present research quantitative approach will be used because the data analysis will be done
by adopting testing method, the study will be using deductive approach this is due to the reason
because this support in understanding the technique which will be used for collecting and
analyzing the data. The study will be using primary method that is information is collected by
selecting 170 respondents from different business area to understand whether they use machine
learning to project human population. This also supports in providing information regarding the

benefits and advantages which use of machine learning provide for effective manage of
information in the business.
The research will be using “positivism research philosophy” it is because the research will be
using giving information regarding the reality of the external environment and it also get
knowledge regarding the effects it provide to the operations of business in the long run.
Furthermore, the information is analyzed through using testing method that is research will be
using correlation analysis method. This is because it leads in providing information regarding the
relation which machine learning has on the data management and supports in recording the
human related activities so that changes can be made in the functions of the business.
Research Deign
The research proposal revealed that study will be exploratory research because it leads in
exploring the new information about application of machine learning in tracking and
understanding the human population movement. Therefore, not much of the study is conduced to
understand the use of machine learning in the business. This support in providing information
about the major concern which keep in mind through using machine learning and describe the
reasons through which the decisions making ability of the business increases by the business.
Furthermore, research design also support in identifying the overall strategy through which the
study will be conducted. The research will be conducted by using SPSS software so that analysis
of the information is conducted in effective manner.
Contribution
The research proposal describe that the research will be providing various benefits that is it
describes complete information regarding the reasons and purpose of machine learning. It is
because through this various other people get the information about the use of machine learning.
The present study will fill the gaps of the existing studies it is because this provide complete
information regarding the one specific benefits which is received by the users by using machine
learning that is tracking the movement of human. It supports in maintaining proper flow of data
and develop other strategies by which the data cannot be hamper. Through, this research various
companies from different industries and businessman can adopt machine learning so that

Proposed Time schedule
The above time table describes that the research will be focusing on describing the background
information regarding the research, in which the importance of conducting the research will also
be revealed. In the next step the techniques and methods through which the study is conducted is
described. Furthermore, the proposal is written and other activities will take place such as
collection of information, analysis of information so that final report will be prepared by
describing the recommendations, conclusion in the report.
