PRINCIPLES OF MACROECONOMICS
Answer to question 1
In the response to Jonathan kilns
In the response to the query of Jonathan kilns towards the causes of decline in the
labour force Participation it can be said that –
The labour market has not yet completely recovered from economic degradation. Till
now the number of new jobs in every sector have not gone up and over 12.8%. Though it is a
record by itself which covers over 64 percent high than the previous year. Hence the rate of
unemployment have been degraded to 5.8%. Thus it had caused a major fall back to the major
force participation rate. However after seven years the rate had degraded more (Van Stolk
et.al 2011).
Answer to question 2:
In the response to Debra Fontaine
In the response to the query on whether then labour force participation will change in
the next 20 years or not have been said that the population had been a key factor to the labour
force participation and it effects overall growth also. As per census bureau participation it is
said that the population projection have been continued to low projection point which had
result in immigration. Thus it is expected that the labour force would likely to increase in the
next 20 years (Duval , Eris & Furceri 2011).
