Statement of work experience
I have a vast experience in my field of study after attending several interns and job contracts
and therefore this leaves me with all the technical skills and knowledge required to be
working in private, non-profit, international business and government enterprises that have
international operations without going through an additional internship at The Department of
Political Science’s Master of Arts in Global Interactions (MAGI). This statement is an
evidence of the extensive experience I have so far gained and a description of areas I have
worked from as well as a list of membership in honorary or professional societies.
 For the period between 1999 -2004 I worked as a lawyer in Dr. Abboud al Farraj firm
located in Damascus. As a lawyer at Damascus, I have gained enough experience
alongside coursework knowledge on international relations, world cultures in relation
to law and required a focus on problem-solving which are some of the major
principles of MAGI. I am able to advise clients accordingly, defend lawsuits, rights or
even obligations and interpret laws, ruling as well as obligations for people and
organizations.
 From 2005-2008, I worked with oil companies in both Bahrain and Oman. I was the
legal consultant and public relations manager. I gained enough experience on matters
concerning the provision of advice and guidance as well to the management of these
companies on several legal issues. In respect to MAGI principle and focus, I gained
experience in matters concerning political science, law and their relationship with
management, international labor relations and problem-solving.
 On the year 2009-2011, I worked with a consulting company and public relations in
Egypt before moving to Tunisia where I worked as a branch manager on our family
owned cooperation as the resources and public relations coordinator. This equipped

me with skills and experience in the field of economics, finance, management,
marketing and business coordination related activities.
 Between 2011 and 2014 I worked as a regional and executive manager in Hyperion
corporation which is an oil company in Iraq. With the experience I gained here, I am
now able to assist companies or organization acquire new customers in selling
additional products to existing ones.
 Due to an accident and medical observation, I had to take a break for a period of about
2 years where I resumed duties on 2016 and this time worked with Delta company of
the Indian consulting and resources up to the time of enrolment at the University of
Cleveland state. I have gained experience as a legal consultant for oil and gas industry
and all skills related to management of such businesses.
Over this period, I have also engaged in professional societies where my membership has
seen me enjoy several benefits with respect to my field of specialization. The following are
the memberships in honorary or professional societies;
1. Member of Arab Organization for Human Right. (Egypt-2005)
2. Member of the Mediterranean Human Rights Organization (Denmark-2006).
3. A representative of Regional Committee of the Syrian Red Crescent Organization
(Syria- 2006).

5. A member of the Islamic Conference on interfaith dialogue (India-2011).
6. Vice-Chairman of the Committee for the Defence of Syrian Detainees (Turkia-2012).

These professional societies have exposed me to networking opportunities and that’s why
I have even managed to work with several organizations. I have also been able to develop
my man agent skills, get training and certifications on some skills gained from these
memberships and professional organizations. I have gained experience in civic leadership
too from working with different types of institution, organizations on a global basis.
From the above discussed work statement, I therefore feel now I have achieved at least all
the experience and skills as political science student and therefore I have met all the
principle requirement needed in the modern globalized marketplace that MAGI program
aims to equip its students so that they are ready for employment in private, non-profit,
international business and government enterprises that have international operations. I,
therefore, feel that I am ready to be exposed and allowed for work in such organization
without undergoing the MAGI internship program.
