Instructions to student
Schedule a suitable time with the trainer and assessor to meet with OGM, the
SMM, the TC, and the representative of the work teams involved in
implementing the e-commerce strategy in week 3 of the term.
During the Role-Play you will:
o Present and explain the operational plan and associated documents
o Seek feedback and negotiate any changes/refinements to the plan and
related documents
o Seek approval from the OGM
The OGM is played in the Role-Play by the trainer and assessor. The SMM, the
TC and representatives from the work teams involved in the presentation are
played by classmates in simulated work conditions.
The trainer and assessor will observe and evaluate your performance during
the Role-Play.
Before the meeting:
Have the operational plan, contingency plans, and resourcing proposal ready
to be shared with the attendees. This could be done:
Preparing printed copies of your work; or
Projecting the documents on the screen using the facilities in the classroom
or sharing the documents during a virtual meeting (liaise with the trainer
and assessor)
During the meeting:
Present and explain the operational plan, the contingency plans and the
proposal for resourcing
Consider:
o Explaining resource requirements and justifying the proposal
o Information on cost items
o Benefits of implementing the plan to the organisation
o Possible risks of not implementing the plan
o Identified risks and contingency plans
o WHS concerns
o The consultation process that was followed and sources of information
o Implementation
Gather feedback, discuss and negotiate changes to the operational plan,
the contingency plans and the proposal for resourcing
o Obtain approval for the plan
After the meeting:
o Implement the feedback and the changes negotiated during the meeting to
the operational plan, the contingency plans and the proposal for resourcing
before submitting your assessment
o Please note that the trainer and assessor will check that the feedback you
have received and/or the changes you have negotiated are implemented in
your submission.
This is an assessable task, and the trainer and assessor will evaluate your
performance during the meeting using this observation checklist.

How did you prepare for the
meeting?
The preparation of the meeting is very essential for
getting successful. Thus, for the effectvie preparation
of the meeting, I used the method of prioritising the
data. This was assistive to me as I was able to decide
that what part need to be discussed first in the
meeting. Also, as part of preparation of meeting I also
undertook help of proper delegation. This is crucial
requirement for proper allocation of roles and
responsibilities to the relevant people.

With respect to the communication of operational plan
I was very effective in communicating this. The reason
pertaining to the fact is that when the operational plan
was created I was sure that the changes suggested are
very good and proper. Hence, due to this, I was sure
that I will be in position to communicate with others.
Also, for the communication I used making of
PowerPoint presentation and because of this, the
communication was more effective and efficient.
During this project I evaluated that the complete
development of assignment was assistive for my
