INTRODUCTION
Leadership and management both are essential functions of company which are useful in
terms of developing efficiency to accomplish objectives and goals. Through effective leadership,
leaders can effectively communicate the vision of company with employees can also evolve
several strategies by which long term growth and sustainability can be achieved. Leaders are the
one who motivate people and also support them to accomplish overall objectives of an
organisation. It is useful in achieving group goals and also converts organisation resources
machines into effective outcome (Basten and Haamann, 2018). Leadership and management
need several types of skills which are useful in contributing towards the strategic objectives.
Present report is based on the “AI Grocers” which is a grocery shop in Romania and deals in
Romanian products that deals in wide range of products and services to potential customers with
large scale in different locations. The report demonstrates principles and practices of
management at workplace and problem solving capabilities to implement the project. Besides
from this, the role of manager is also identified by which they contribute towards the success of
business.

Weeks Observation
Week 1 In week one I have observed the working style
of grocery industry and learn how this process
of retailing sector works. I determined different
categories of commodities that are being
offered to customers along with their prices. I
learned about management system of the
company and observed how it would help in
maintaining culture of organisation (Astrachan
and Botero, 2018). I have also determined
business practices implemented by senior
authorities of the organisation. I have also
learned importance of effective management in
an organisation which is essential for

productivity of the company as well as
developing positive workplace environment.
Week 2 In week two I have learned to market the
products on different online and offline
channels in order to attract large base of
customers. I have learned to promote products
of the company by using social media
platforms and other digital platforms (Auh and
et. al., 2019). I have analysed that effective
marketing is very essential as it helps in
increasing awareness among people about the
brand along with attracting them towards
offered products.
Week 3 During week three I learned about importance
of effective leadership at workplace. I have
observed that employees want supportive and
democratic workplace environments for which
it is essential to implement effective leadership
style. I have learned that if I have to become an
effective leader in my future career than I have
to increase my ability in adopting democratic
leadership style in my personality which will
help me in gaining trust of employees. I have
analysed that leadership impacts behaviour and
performance of employees along with
motivating them to work with all their efforts.
Week 4 In week four I have learned about importance
of team working in an organisation. I have
gained knowledge about how effective team
working could assist in accomplishing desired
organisational objectives in specific time

period. For developing effective team, it is very
important to have smooth communication
among employees so that no misunderstanding
generate between them. I have learned to work
with positive team spirit and perform with my
overall efforts to achieve organisational
objectives with my teammates.
Week 5 In week five I learned about maintaining
positive customer’s relationships with potential
clients of the company. I have gained
knowledge that for maintaining positive
relationship with customers it is essential to
understand their behaviour and listen to queries
they have related to products or services
patiently (Aslam and et. al., 2018). This would
help me in gaining trust and loyalty of
customers towards company along with
building large client base.
Week 6 In week six I learned about digital literacy
which is very important in today's world of
digitalisation. I understood how to operate
software that company use to maintain data and
important information associated with
employees as well as customers (Caputo and et.
al., 2018). I have observed that for personal
and professional growth it is essential to have
computer literacy. I learned to maintain record
of sales in Excel sheets which helps me in
presenting data whenever asked by my seniors.

Although management and leadership frequently overlap, it is critical to grasp the
differences between the two concepts within the working structure of an organisation.
Furthermore, it has been stressed that, while managers require great leadership qualities, they
also require specific other skills in order to effectively manage teams or individuals. The duties
and responsibilities of AI Grocers and Leaders within effective skills have been assessed. For
example, leaders identify particular goals and determine the steps that employees must do in
order to achieve overall goals in a well-defined and efficient manner. Furthermore, it has been
emphasised that executives develop measurements and track staff efforts in order to align their

It has been determined that, based on work experiences in AI Grocers in a variety of team
projects, it is vital to achieve considerable advances in critical thinking and creative problem
solving by doing sound reasoning exercises to identify challenges, make decisions, and solve
problems. It also entails forming collaborative relationships with co-workers and clients of other
cultures, races, genders, and so on. As the individual works effectively in a team structure, he or
she must also negotiate and handle conflict and change while maintaining a respectful attitude
toward others (Bontis and et. al., 2018).
Use others' strengths to achieve common goals, and use interpersonal skills to mentor and
develop others. Individuals must also display integrity and ethical behaviour, as well as act
responsibly with the greater community's best interests in mind and be able to learn from their

dynamic and adaptable by nature in order to fulfil limits as well as the needs of the organization's

managers play a significant role in an organisation, and that they contribute to the performance

management abilities and skills set clear goals and ensure that activities run smoothly. Different

Motivation, communication, delegation, creativity, feedback, and responsibility are some of the
talents that aid in the achievement of leadership objectives within an organisation. The
