INTRODUCTION
In business context management is defined as art of managing people, conducting as
well as supervising different activities that help in defining business goals and objectives
(Anderson and et.al., 2015). It is an administration of an organisation which consist of both profit
and non profit organisation. Moreover, it is a planned to design to perform multiple activities in
operating business function and day to day activities. For such purpose to mange such activities
all organisation set out certain activities and strategies as well as coordinating efforts in all
employees and staff members so that best result can be outputted with maximum utilisation of
resources.
In this report, organisation chosen is Imperial Hotel, a branded chain of hotels that is
caters with international business and tourist guest. This report is based on case study of Hotel
Imperial in order to identify problems for poor operation within their business operation.
Additionally, identifying issues of negative work culture among employees and staff members
with high sick levels and poor attendance. Analysing problem and creating relationship with
various other problems. Thus, applying various management theories and principles to resolve
issues within an organisation.
Analysing Problem:
In Hotel Imperial, mangers had experienced various problems in managing their business
operation and day to day business function. They were facing problem as their employee and
staff members are optimising excessive leave and poor attendance which lead to create negative
work culture.
In an organisation, work culture means that an positive workplace where each and every
employee as well as staff members feel safe, secure and comfortable so that they can carry out
their work in an attractive manner (Ansoff and et.al, 2019). If an organisation creates a healthy
environment that employees feel highly motivated in workplace and this lead to reduce employee
turnover. Moreover, it is core duty of mangers to to create such environment that reflects out
management abilities that anticipate issues and chances of a positive and health environment.
Herein, Imperial Hotel mangers were facing management problems and issues regarding
their staff and employee members. The mangers are applying Belbin's theory in emphasising on
performance while motivating them in order to perform effectively within work culture. As
