1MANAGEMENT ISSUES
This particular incident is associated with the management and employee problem in
the organisation where I was designated as a human resource manager. That company was a
small organisation located in Australia. It was a small resort where there were aboriginal and
non-aboriginal employees used to work together. This resort was suffering from management
failure as the non-aboriginal staffs were constantly resigning and the management failed to
control the local staff to involve them in the core organisational functions. As it is a
hospitality industry, therefore, the organisational needs were much different from the other
companies. The organisation needed to have great employee relation without any cultural
barrier so that the organisation can work most efficiently but the actions of the local staffs
were far away from the expectation. Most of these employees had language issues which was
great problem in dealing with the guests. Moreover, the organisation could not reduce local
stuff as the regional legislation prevent this measure. Due to this reason, the local employees
became confident over their inactivity and lacked the interest to execute their responsibilities.
In addition to this, the higher authorities paid a very short visit which could not solve this
issue and the situation deteriorated. The competition level among the resorts in that region
was high and due to management failure in the organisation was pressing it to more
complication.
As a new joined as human resources manager in that resort I attempt to take some
very important initiative which will help the organisation to continue its business without any
problem of local stuffs. In solving these issues, I had to go through four essential steps
Planning, Organising, Leadership and Controlling. First, I planned to arrange a training for
the local employees as they had language issues and other response problems. They needed
proper professional training do that they can understand the command of the management or
their non-aboriginal colleagues. I planned to employ the local staffs in less complicated and
outdoor tasks.

2MANAGEMENT ISSUES
Organising included my initiative to introduce new set of fresh water sports for guest
attraction in one hand and utilise the talents of these aboriginal employees as they have great
knowledge in this section. I organisations the training process and placing these employees in
proper position so that they can accomplish their responsibilities effectively.
Io took the whole responsibility to restructure the employee positioning as a leader
and started to monitor the processes matching with my planning. I aimed to keep these
employees motivated so that they do not lose reliability in one hand and feel satisfied with
their jobs. As a leader I increase my visibility to make these people satiated with their work.
In gaining success to get the best outcome of planning and organising, I had to take
some controlling measure which were related with budget for expenses and taking measure to
increase higher authority visits in the organisation. The communication gap between the
higher officials and the ground staffs had to be bridged so that the employees feel motivated.
Thus the issue in the resort was solved.
