INTRODUCTION
Business management is the process of managing the different activities of the business
or resources, so that they can achieve the different objective of business. The management keep
eyes on the planning, organising, and analysing of different business activities which helps them
to manage and run the business efficiently and effectively(Aubakirova and Zeinullina, 2019).
This report is going to discussed about the different challenges which are faced by an individual
or professional in studying the business management along with the importance of academic skill
and professional skill development in their life. This report also covers the personal SWOT
analysis and the action plan.

Challenges of studying business management and thriving in professional practice (with
appropriate examples)
 Effective time management:- time is one of the biggest challenge when it comes to
execute the business management studies. It is very difficult to manage all other thing
because of the classes schedule and homework. While doing all these thing, it is very
difficult to participate in different campus activities during the lectures.
 Balance study, life and work:- this is also an important challenge for an adult individual
to manage their management studies with extra work and personal life. It becomes
difficult for a person to manage different responsibilities of family member and
professional work while doing the studies (Berkow, 2019) .
 Team management:- team work and coordination is very important when an individual
perusing a business management studies or any professional work. In a team, there are
different types of individual which have different mindset, language, behaviour etc.
Sometimes it is very difficult to work with those people whose behaviour is not good and
don't have proper knowledge of project, this directly reflects on the success of project.
 Learn networking and socializing:- This is also the most important challenge which are
faced by an individual while perusing their studies or in professional life. An individual
came across with different people with different idea, background and interest in his life.

It become difficult to make network an socialize with them because of the
communication gap or different mind set. This will affect the carrier of an individual.

or deadline, but also help them to enjoy or to do other things in life.
 Ability to learn:- this improves the reading skills and helps an individual to retain the
knowledge. This makes you a good reader because a person read lot of information from
different links which enhance the understanding power and improves the ability of
learning.
 Remove stress:- Stress is very ordinary in present life. The development of academic
skill helps and individual to reduce the stress from life. A person can manage or balance
their work, family responsibilities, health, money and many more with the help of this
skill. This ultimately remove the stress from life.
The importance of effective professional skills development
 Expand knowledge base:- By developing the professional skill an individual can increase
the knowledge base. The continuous reading and education explore more opportunities
for both young as well as experienced professional which solidify their base and help
them to generate more ideas (Gadomskaand and Krakowian, 2017) . This skill help an
individual to become expert in their field.
 Boost the confident:- professional development helps an individual to become confident
in their work as well as in their life. Different professional courses open more areas for

continuous education and opportunities of training which not only build the confidence of
a professional but also improves the credibility power to acquire new set of skills.

Personal SWOT analysis
Strength
Communication skill: I am able to
communicate easily with my juniors and
seniors as I have an experience of more then 3
year in this department. I can communicate
with them in a better way to develop good and
friendly relation with them.
Listening skill :- I have a good listing power,
as I listen the issues of my subordinate and
understands that what they are trying to say.
Along with this, I take feedback of my work
from my seniors and listen properly the
suggestion given by them(Lansdell Marx and
Mohammadali-Haji, 2020).
Weakness
Fear:- I am sacred of trying new and
innovating things because of the fear of failure.
Most of the time I thought about the negative
comments from my friends, family member or
my teams member if I fail in anything.
Time management:- I am not a well organised
person, as I am not able to make proper
balance between my personal life and my
professional life. Most of the time I am not
able to give my time to my family members
and friends because of this ineffective time
management.

Opportunities
Confident:- development of various right skills
of set such as “academic skill or professional
skill” within me. Now I am confident enough
to collect new opportunities of my field and
take all the comments in a positive ways and
try to become more successful in life.
Support:- I am very much sure that I can get
more opportunities and chance to grow with
the support of my mentors, family members
and friends. They boost my confidence and
says that be always positive to achieve
anything in life.
Threats
Competition:- this is one of the important
threat, as their are number of other employees
who have same the qualification as I have.
They are enough capable of taking out the
result and this becomes a huge threat for me to
achieve a successful position in life.
Dynamic marketing Environment: as market
changes everyday, new professional courses
and personal development programme came in
the modern market. This become a big threat
for me because I am not able to adopt these
courses because of my family
conditions(McGill, Heikkila and Lazarowicz,
2020).
