Employability skills can be defined as those skills that an employee is expected to
possess to get a job. It helps them in dealing with their personal and potential easily. These skills
determine the capabilities of particular person working in the company. These skills include time
management, teamwork, self-motivation and leadership quality, etc. They are considered as an
essential element for getting a job in company. It is always considered compulsory for the
individuals to gain some skills so that their efficiency increases. Companies also organise various
types of programs for employees so that their learning is never stopped. This report is based on
health and social care sector. The organisation chosen here is Wellington Hospital. It is the
largest independent hospital in UK and also a part of HCA international hospital group. This
hospital is very famous for its cardiac services, neurosurgery, liver and HPB medicine. It is
located in London. The main aim of making this report is to access the skills, responsibilities,
performance of managers of hospital, solutions to work based problems and role of individuals in
a team for achieving objectives of company.

1.1 Own responsibilities and performance objectives
Taking responsibility for completing a task is considered as a one of the major thing that

Wellington Hospital, I know that it is very difficult to manage such a big organisation in an

responsibility of the manager to adopt various types of motivating techniques to implement in
their respective organisation and ensure growth and development. This organisation is very
famous for its advances technology treatment and is considered the best but it is well known that
there is always scope for improvement. So, it is the responsibility of managers to bring in some
motivational techniques . Some of the ways that I use to motivate the employees of Wellington
Hospital are:-ď‚· Development programs :- Since development is very essential to improve the quality of
performance of employees so I have organised various type of events and seminars for
the doctors of the hospital. This helps in increasing the skills of the employees and the

4.3 Potential impact on the business of implementing the strategy
When Wellington Hospital will implement this strategy inside the company then they
will see that it has impacted the productivity of the company very much. If the above mentioned
strategies will be used then the relation between the employees will improve very much. This
will happen because they will be given so much much time to spend with each other. This will
help the employees in understanding the behaviour of each other, their habits, their nature in a
better way (Hinchliffe and Jolly, 2011).
After improving these relations. Company can easily teams . So, in Wellington Hospital,
if a team of good doctors are prepared then it will increase the efficiency of hotel 100 times than
it was earlier. So, the strategies implemented by the management had a positive impact on the
business.

` From the above report it can be concluded that employability skills is very much
important for the success of organization by uplifting their talent with the use of effective
methods. If the employee will not have enough skills then they will not be able to perform better
so, employability skills are a must requirement in the employees. In this report , Wellington

required by the manger of the hospital is covered. Along with this, solutions to work based
