INTRODUCTION
Enterprise Resource Planning or ERP is a process, which is used in the company for
improving accounting process. It helps to use a system of integrated applications to manage the
entire business. Present report focuses on the importance of ERP process in an organization and
their impacts. It will also discuss about solutions that can be useful to understand this method.
MAIN BODY
Question a) Analysing problems arising due to implementation of ERP process
According to the given scenario, Jacob is working in Accounts Department of FCP
electronics from past 10 years. Now company has implemented ERP system in order to minimize
accounting errors and improving accounting transactions. Now Jacob is insecure about his job as
he is new to this process. As per the case, the main problem of feeling insecure is that poor
knowledge of ERP method. He is not that confident to deal with this situation (Cole and Kelly,
2015). As Jacob was not having any kind of knowledge about the latest accounting software
thus, it was unable to work on this system. Introduction of this process have created a lot of
trouble for Jacob because he is unable to manage this new change while being at this
organization. This process is used to store various types of data for different computerized
functions for a company. This will be very useful for Jacob to manage his work easily and
effectively (Mahadevan, 2015).
There are many times when employees are unable to deal with the change in an
organization, which can lead them to leave their jobs. This is more common now-a-days, for
example, in TISCO (Tata Iron and Steel Company) that is located in Jamshedpur in Jharkhand
and is known to be one of the leading steel giants of India. They have also implemented this ERP
process and have gained a lot of advantages (Quality of ERP Implementation: Case Study of
Select Indian Organizations, 2014). The major problem, which TISCO faced due to the
introduction of this method into their management system, was that employees were feeling
under confident in using this software. Same situation has arisen with Jacob as well. He has not
used any kind of software earlier. Thus, it was difficult for him to apply this system easily. He
was feeling very insecure because he was afraid that if he fails to work properly on this
application then it might be possible that management replace him with other candidate. This
insecurity was creating problem for him.

According to the given problem that is to deal with this new ERP process in the
management system, there are many solutions that can be implemented by Jacob. By this way he
would be able to work on ERP system effectively (Meyers and Van Woerkom, 2014). In order
to develop his knowledge and working efficiency he can join coaching for ERP software. This
will help in understanding all benefits and working process on this application.
To deal with this situation, he must work on the following issues:
Understanding the ERP system: If Jacob understands the whole process of ERP then it
would help him in performing well and minimizing errors as well. It will be easier for
him to do his job with more quality and effectively. For this, he can take classes and get
help from his seniors and mentors to guide him. From this, he will get to know about
ERP process and why is it so important for an organization. This will also help him in
increasing his ability and confidence to work in this process (Richardson, 2014).
Taking Training: This can also be very helpful for Jacob for better understanding of this
method. By taking training, it will enhance his knowledge and will make them confident
to use this software (Johnston, 2016).
Apart from this, he can do practice in free time to use this ERP software to get a good
command over this. It will ensure that he is doing his job perfectly. Implementing of all these
processes can help Jacob to gain confidence and make him capable enough to handle this
situation. By obtaining these qualities, he will be able to give better results to its organization as
well have a positive impact on them (Burke, 2017).
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it can be concluded that there are various issues that has occurred
due to implication of ERP process into the management system for any employee such as lack of
knowledge, etc. that is why employee leave their job. To deal with this situation, there are many
options that is opted by employees; for example, by joining classes that can help to get a good
