As per Friedman, the flat world is referred to as the platform wherein there are no barriers
and the individuals can communicate, work and collaborate across the different kind of
boundaries. However, there are different kind of hazards of living in the flat kind of world of
entire globalization 3.0 that are discussed as follows:
The business ethics helps in reducing the freedom of the entire company. For instance:
the multinational organizations shift into the different developing countries to reduce
their cost
The different kind of individuals have different process of thought
If there are no certain boundaries, the individuals can perform according to their own
wish and they create own rules to trade in the world as well (Baylis, Smith and Owens
2017)

According to me, I agree to the iron rule of the flat world concept of Friedman. The
respective rule has suggested and it is like: when the entire world around you are flat in nature,
then the things that can be done will be done and this will be done by you in a proper manner.
Due to the advancement of the different kind of technologies that is new in nature, the
individuals in the society can perform whatever they wish to do (Beck 2018). The individuals in
the entire world needs to learn different kind of own thinking process which will assist them in
being more innovative in nature.

For example: Air Asia Airlines has started a respective website in which the individuals
can go to the online website of the Airlines and print the bar-coded boarding passes. So, the
individuals should become their own ticket agent. In this manner, the individuals will change to
learn something in a new and unique manner and perform whatever they wish in an appropriate
manner (Steger 2017).

The globalization of the economy has come a long way and presently there is huge choice
before the customers who can now enjoy lower prices and high quality for several kind of
products and services. The individuals in the organizations are enjoying high standard of living
than it is enjoyed by them in the earlier stage. In this manner, the globalization has benefitted the
different kind of customers in the market along with the different suppliers with education, skills
and wealth (Crane and Matten 2017).
However, on the other side, the picture is different and it is not bright in nature. The
proper amount of flexibility in the labor laws has worsened the entire conditions of the various
workers as they are being appointed on non-regular basis in order to avoid the facility of the
provident fund along with different kind of other facilities (Stüber 2017).
The workers in the economy who are working for extra hours and they receive no such
payment for this as well. The small producers in the economy suffered from globalization as they
are not in a position to compete with the large multinational companies in the market.
Activity 3: Definition of culture
Values live in the realm of different invisible therefore there are many individuals in the
society who struggle to get the different employees and the employer of the organization of the

stated values. In order to build culture-based organization, there are two necessary requirements
that needs to be followed as they begin with such requirements i.e.; communication along with
capacity (Hirst, Thompson and Bromley 2015).
Deliberate and conscious communication is one of the elements that is required to be
analyzed effectively. This is the first step to bring the invisible to life with deliberate
communication. For instance- when the healthcare organization has stated different values that
include empathy, compassion along with care. The value is described as the compassion along
with safety of the employees and integrity (Habermas 2015).
Furthermore, in order to embody the value, the awareness has to be elevate about such
value to engage the workers in the organization regarding the safety procedures that has to be
adopted by them. The communication is the essential part in understanding the other person’s
values and beliefs and offering the employees with best possible solutions to overcome barriers
faced by them effectively.
Capacity is the second factor that is responsible for creating value-based culture in the
organizations. In the fast-paced world, wherein there is instant access to unrealistic kind of
expectations and communication, the individuals in the society lose the capacity to even
recognize (Mehrabian 2017). There is a question that arises that is do we have the entire capacity
to live our values effectively? The two kinds of capacity include personal and organizational
capacity for example when the boat has a leak, there is survival mode and proper capacity is
required to cope up with such situations.
The system of the organizations supports the different kind of individual efforts to
maintain such capacity. The capacity of the organizations is required to be analyzed effectively
which will help in maximizing the effectiveness of the different employees and provide them

external and internal in nature to communication and capacity. The external barriers to the work
environment has to be reduced with help of communication and delivering the different tasks
with capacity.
Lastly, building value-based culture requires right kind of organizational structure in
various companies along with dedication and support from the organization officials. There are
different kind of internal barriers that consist of thoughts, relationships along with emotions
along with desire for self-development. These kinds of barriers can be removed from the
company in managing the issues effectively.
Conclusion
Therefore, it can be concluded that there are different kind of drawbacks of risks living
in the flat world of globalization. Furthermore, there are different kind of requirements such as
communication and capacity in building culture-based organization. When the company truly
wants the employees to embrace and embody the values, it is required to understand their
grievances and analyze the situation effectively.
