1.1 Basic information of report
Sustainable growth in business is that rate at which company is able to achieve their
maximum growth without having increasing financial leverage or debt financing. In other words
it could be defined to as maximizing the growth rate of company that could be achieved with
giving the asset utilisation, debt ratio, profitability of company and dividend pay-out as well
(Doppelt, 2017). There are number of strategies which could be used in way of achieving this
sustainable growth within the business. Some of these strategies will include like that of
customer retention, powerful branding, setting out authentic purpose, partnership and
collaboration, community, repeatable sales and effective management or flexible leadership.
While it could also be included that all these strategies setting could also be going through some
of the challenges which need to be improved.
Among all these effective management and flexible leadership are the two most
important strategies which company need to set so that they are been able to grow in sustainable
manner. Management is referred to as planning, controlling and coordinating all activities and
efforts of humans so that objectives could be accomplished in most effective manner. While on
other hand leadership is that process of dealing with group of people of organisation so that they
could be motivated for doing the task (Epstein, 2018). The major difference between both of
these will be the manner in which leaders are motivating people to do their task while on other
hand managers are not doing so. Management is that position within organisation that will be
revolving around the responsibilities that could be setting out roles. At the time of sustainable
growth of business there could be certain level of problems, difficulties and issues that could
arise which is mainly related to management and leadership.
With the intake of immense competition that is due to innovative advancement the need
and want of all customers are increasing. As they want that the quality of service which they are

to that both qualitative and quantitative for analysing the issue of leadership and management.
This particular type of research philosophy is only used because this is helping into creating
down clear assumption from previously observation and interpretation into other researchers.
Research approach- The research will be having inductive type of approach that is inclusive of
testing hypotheses with the collection of data with different sources like that of both primary and
secondary.
Research design- There will be use of mixed research design within which the collected data
will be done with use of primary source and qualitative approach as well so that research
problem could be addressed in proper sense.
Data collection- The data will be collected from many sources like that of questionnaire is
prepared using close ended questions on Likert scale so that statistical data could be determined.
Then semi-structured interview will also be taken place form the managers of Hang Seng bank
so that they could be including importance of e-service facilities of bank.
Sampling technique- Non-probability sampling technique will be used which is convenient for
the sampling method in way of questionnaire filled up by the managers (Schaltegger and
Wagner, 2017). Other than this snowball sampling is used for getting some interviews conducted
by strategic managers of other banks and general population as well.
