Introduction
The shift supervisor assist the store manager to maintain a positive environment and
provide an efficient, fast and friendly service for a Quality Experience with the team
members and the customer. Shift supervisor provide support in customer service, training,
gives education and knowledge of the product, practices a safe work and provide a House
Rules and Guiding Principles. The shift supervises the barista and shift barista. The
supervisor has to work as a manager when the assistant manager and the store are absent. The
supervisor have to assist the store manager to maintain a proper coverage and have to handle
the cash for store funds at the time of running the shift.
Role of Shift Supervisor
As a Shift Supervisor primarily work in Red Rooster and run the staff in the absence
of the manager. In this role the supervisor has to direct the employees about their daily
routine. Moreover, the supervisor also makes sure about the customer experience and interact
with them to satisfy them as much as possible. The Shift supervisor ensure the satisfaction of
the customer by providing proper training to the employee, have a quality control and adhere
to the policy of the company. In the food services, the supervisor makes sure that the
employees are able to perform variety of tasks, from serving, stocking supplies, preparing
food, charge food, handling cash, credit cards, resetting tables, cleaning tables and counters,
answering question and greeting customers. The Shift supervisor has to report directly to the
assistant manager or managers. The shift supervisor has to produce customer service in a
friendly manner, with courteous, relaxing demeanour and provide a quick service. This will
help to repeat the same customers to visit again. The supervisor has to work with the team to
give a great dining experience. In this job role the supervisor has to keep motivating to the
