INTRODUCTION
Management information systems are the tool that applicable in the organization to
support the business operations, processes and information technology, intelligence etc. it
supports to the business logics to maintain the data and information in proper manner. This
report will discuss about the First Somali bank that analyse the contribution towards the value
chain and efficient for growth and development. Furthermore, this assignment will describe the
automated information system that applicable in IT department to maintain their services in
market place. At last, this report will discuss about the electronic information system that
implemented on IT department in proper manner.
MAIN BODY
Information management system plays important role in the First Somali bank that used
the information system in IT department to capture and record all the necessary information in
the system. It is needed for firm to maintain their services and facilities in proper manner so that
many customers attract towards the quality of services (Boddy, McCalman and Buchanan,
2018.). This bank is mainly used the computer technology to increase the efficiency and
performance of employee at workplace. Advanced technology allows for delivered the banking
product and services in more convenient ways.
Exactly the system do in IT
In First somalia bank, It can be used the electronic banking services such as graphical
user interface software on the computer system that help for managing all the financial
transactions, accounts, cheque book issues and cash transferred maintain in IT department
(Talón-Ballestero and et.al., 2018). This department will use this electronics system to increase
the capabilities and abilities of employee in proper manner.
This system is exactly performed different operations in banking sector whereas it can
send the details related to the bill by the customers. In this way, staff members easily download

be centralized the information in effective ways. It is continuously process to update at different
places and also possible the single window services. This service will help for department to
increase their speed and efficiency towards the business operations and their functions. IT has
been increased their productivity and profitability in marketplace because It generates more
accurate results and time consuming jobs for balancing the interest rate and their calculations on
due dates (Kasemsap, 2018). In this way, it automatic provide the printing documentation that
covered all the deposit receipts, schedule, pass book etc. Staff members also free to perform their
task in effective ways. It enables to give more attention to their customers. It is based on the
computerized technology to hold the entire documentation in effective manner. In the bank,
employee can easily use this concept to perform various type of role in proper manner. IT
department is handle the information system by using the Electronic data interchange system.
Need of user and also meet the need or requirement by using information system
Electronic data interchange information system is beneficial for user to share the details
to the bank employee by using email, fax etc. This system will help for user to exchange the
documentation within seconds. It is accurate and secure that transmitted the data in proper
manner (Kerzner, 2018). Many users can choose the online payment option to transmit money
from one account to another. In this way, it can meet the requirement of user because it provides
the better services to integrate all the account with the EDI system. It is more efficient for
perform different task at one time. There are different type of need and requirement of user that
addressed by the EDI information system.

These are the basic requirement and need of user to the bank that needed for providing all type of
services to their customers (Mwangi, Kiarie and Kiai, 2018). The Digital transformation has been
increased the large number of customer that attracted towards the service of bank. Moreover, the
electronic data interchange is also provide the facilities to the customer to easily check the details
regarding the financial product and service whereas employee send the detail to the customers.

to another. Many users want convenience and value. They also willing for exchange the personal
data and information for discounts and good deals. First somalia bank offering relevant services
to the customers and increasing lot of attention towards the organization.

system that install in the computer system to perform different operations and function in proper
manner. The majority of bank have high quality of standards by using the technology (Piercyed,
2018). In First Somalia bank, it is mainly customer oriented to perform all the task with the help
of computerized and also exchange the information by using electronic communication
technology such as EDI. According to bank, EDI is beneficial for business process to share the
important information to the customer because it provides the facilities and services. This system
will secure and reliable for customer to easily understand their processing.
Advantage-
Electronic data interchange is the technique that help for increase the efficiency and
speed of organization. In this way, it can be completed process in accurate and proper
manner.
This information system will help for improve the supplier management that contributed
towards the achievement towards the social responsibility, ethical trading tool and
sustainability (Advantage of EDI, 2018).
It is reliable and flexible for customer to manage the payment schedule in short duration
of time and more reliable in the organization.
This information system will provide the confirmation message to the customer whereas
the data can receive in safely to the bank. This service will help for eliminating all the errors in the system that generated due to the
human beings.
Disadvantage-
EDI is based on the multiple standards whereas many devices connected to the network
but often limited services.
This system is also contained various type of format of documentation that create
malfunction in the business task.

Sometimes, it has higher price that difficult for business to apply their operations and

technology department uses the different technique to maintain their business operations in
proper manner. It summarized to support the business logics to maintain the data and information
in proper manner. Furthermore, this report discuss about the electronic information system that
