INTRODUCTION
Leadership is the approach where superior person leads and guider their subordinate. It is
one of the most important process though which employee's at different level feel motivated and
due to which they try to enhance their performance for the betterment of organisation. While
talking about management, it is the most essential thing which is required in each and every
organisation which includes planning, organising and monitoring. The report will be based upon
Hazev Restaurant which is located in London. The file will contain the detail information related
to digital market and its major impact on business activities. Even there will be discussion on
classical management theory with leadership styles. Also, the report will relate towards present
and future skills of management and leadership.
MAIN BODY
Classical Management Theories and their application in service industry.
It is necessary that companies should use different theories for managing day to day
activity within the business organisation (Shekand et. Al., 2013). Hazev is one of those company
which falls under the category of restaurant chain based where several branches have been
located in the London. Some of the classical management theories which can be applied by
Hazev have been discussed below:
Henri Foyal Administrative Management Principles is the of those theory which tries to
say that every company need to consider the issues which have been faced by top management
just to increase the level of competency in workplace. It is the responsibility of manager that how
they deal with the problem and direct the order to all the employee's. In context of Hazev, it will
be one of those decision through which company can increase the overall percentage of profit if
they try to involve other employee's at the time of taking any decision.
Frederick Taylor's Scientific Management is the theory which has been proposed by
F.W. Taylor. There are several principles which says that scientific methods for performing any
kind of activities within the organisation is beneficial(Shek, Chung and Leung, 2015). While
talking about Hazev, it is the responsibility of manager that they create the finest environment
where modern equipments are being used through which task and activities which need to be
done can be conducted easily. The responsibility of finance manager is to break down the task

into small piece of work to it will enhance the performance of employee's. Also, they must
provide the best training session through which assigned work can be concluded easily.
So, it can be said that classic management theories can be used by the management team
of Hazev through which organisational goals can be achieved easily.
Role of a Leader and different Leadership Styles in a service industry
The company which is engaged in service provider need to ensure that they are one of
that company which requires to provide the best quality of service to their customer for
maintaining the standard in market (Jones, Jimmieson and Griffiths, 2005). It is the responsibility
of leader that how they create the environment so that organisational goal can be achieved easily.
Some of the role of leader are:ï‚· Strategy Development is one of the important part where huge role need to be played by
leaders. As, leader have the knowledge regarding each and every point of organisation so
it will be easy for them to prepare any new plans which can be implemented in
organisation.ï‚· Morale Building is one of the important area any organisation which is being played by
leaders. As Hazev is service industry where their leader need to ensure that each and
every employee's are being motivated so goals of providing service can be done easily.
Leadership Style
The different types of leadership style which is being followed by the company the
company are listed below:
Autocratic: It is one of the style of leadership, where leaders need to give order to their
subordinates rather. The main focus in this style is to work as per the order of that person whose
decisions are being followed in the company.
Democratic: The style of leadership where leader distribute the power to their
subordinates when any problem arises in the company (Holsapple, 2013). Here, employee's do
have the power to solve out the issue which have been raised in the organisation.
Participative: It is leadership style where leader wants to take the help and suggestion of
their subordinates at the time of taking decision for the betterment of organisation. It mainly
helps to motivate employee's for working for efficiently.

Hazev is the company in the sector of distributing service and by considering that they
need to used different types of leadership style which have been discussed below:
Autocratic Style: The main use of autocratic style in Hazev is to direct the employees
that how they need to maintain the quality of foods and dishes which they serve to their
customers.
Participative Style: It is also one of the leadership style which is being used in Hazev
where they involve their employee's at they time of making new strategy. Although, this style
takes additional time at but still it helps to take the best decision (Fadly Habidin and Mohd
Yusof, 2013). Even it helps to motivate employee's who are working with the organisation.
Impact of Digital technology on management styles
It is the area which latest technology are used for the purpose of transferring data and any
other relevant information. It creates positive impact within the organisation where work can be
done very easily and effectively. Some of the impact of digital technology are listed below:
ï‚· IT helps to provided flexibility within the organisation where employee's will get the
opportunity to work in for fluent manner
ï‚· Digital Technology allows leader and manager to work from any part of the world which
can be taken as one of the positive impact.
ï‚· Digital Marketing helps to create new idea for doing promotional work for the
organisation.
Current Management Skills
There are various kinds of management skill among which Hazev uses some of them.
Management skills are required for working efficiently within the organisation. Some of the
management skill which is being used by Hazev are:
ï‚· Flexibility: It is one of that management skill which is very useful for Hazev as it helps
to adopt changes very quickly. It has been helping the manager and leader of Hazev for
achieving their targets (Birasnav, 2014).
ï‚· Decision-making: It is that part of management which need to be accurate for achieving
the better result. In context of Hazev, the manager has been benefited as they are allowed
to take the help of leader and other staff's of the company which results better outcome.

ï‚· Communication: In every organisation it is important that how management do
communicate with their subordinates. In context of Hazev, it is helpful for them to
convey the message to all the department regarding the changes which company have
done because of certain circumstances (Testa and Sipe, 2012).
The manager and leader must ensure the benefits and use of digital technology because
they need to change their working style as per the requirement. It might create positive as well as
negative impact on organisation.
Comparison of service industry organisations
Manager and the leaders are the one who have huge impact on day to day activity of
organisation. While talking about Hazev, it is one of that company which uses digital technology
but it is important to compare it with those company which do not uses digital technology for
conducting business activity.
