Question No 1.
Describe a paradigm shift that you have experienced in your life.
The answer to Question No 1.
As stated by Covey, the paradigm shift is for realizing the certain situation entirely in a
different manner. This can be said that everybody has faced the paradigm shift in their life as I
have experienced. The most important incidence in my life is that I will never forget till my last
breath is that the time when I have first moved out of my native place in the search of any
employment options in the United States. My first initiative was to land on the USA for finding
the perfect accommodation place in the affordable price. I also have a unique plan that is finding
a roommate as I was completely aware of the cost of living in an American PG. Although my
parents were not at all comfortable regarding the facts of staying with a stranger. After the
incident of 9/11, they were really concerned regarding my safety of staying in the unknown
place. Though they supported me, as they wanted me to become independent during my higher
standards of education and this made them to support me for moving out of my native place.
Then after day by day, I was slowly getting acquainted with my daily routine in the new
country and use to get very less time for contacting my parents. I was able to get a new group of
friends, new lifestyle, new lifestyle and all these made be entirely changed and also taken me far
from the family attachments. After one and a half year, one of my oldest friends makes me
realized regarding my changes, that made me felt ashamed of my own behavior. This shift will
always be remembered by me as this make entirely changed and then I have to change my nature
again and I realized the value of the family attachments more.
