General nature of the incident: After the agent reported the incident verbally to the
Commercial Realty Manager, the Operations General Manager was called for handling the
situation.
Description: In a hurry to reach the office, a client fell down from the staircase of the
emergency exit. She was admitted to the Royal Women’s Hospital on account of wrist
breakage. Upon investigation, it was found that there was some kind of slippery substance
on the stairs, which compelled the client to fell down. Surveys also indicated that one of
the agents noticed about a strange odour. According to some of the arguments of the
managers, failures regarding towards tackling the responsibilities have led to such
instances.
I also interviewed the HR manager, who has indulged into a contract between the lawyer
and Office of the Human Rights Ombudsman.
I also noted the statements of the victimised client, who has threatened to sue the manager
of Max Lionel Realty for irresponsible attitude towards the workplace hazards.
After taking all of the claims and arguments, I intend to meet the statutory bodies of law
for gaining an insight into the relevant legislative parameter, which can be applied for
providing justice to the victim (client).
