Managing People requires to be concerned with responsibility for things while leadership
always leading group of people (Canyon, 2020). Present Report focuses on management and
leadership with the context of security. Role of formal and non formal groups within
organization and Process of Decision making and Problem solving. Some principles of
management such as planning, organising, staffing, directing and controlling will be discussed.
MAIN BODY
Difference between management and leadership with the context of security
Management is considered as a set of the principles associated to the functions of
organising, planning, controlling, decision making, information resources ,human resources of a
firm in order to reach out its goals effectively and efficiently (Ogbuleke, 2020).
It is vital for an organised life as well as necessary to run Security Enterprises. They need
to manage staff in order to do things and to accomplish one's objectives as well as managing an
entity means getting things done with as well as by other people in order to accomplish its
objectives.
Five Basic principles of management
Planning- It is considered as the Future oriented as well as determines the direction of Security
firm. It is also known as the systematic and rational way to make decisions at present time that
will impact the firm's future. It includes future prediction and also try control the events happens

Organising
It is considered as a process through which financial, physical and human resources are

it manned. It has also stated that significance within the recent years because of the technology
advancement, enhance within size of business as well as complexity of human behaviour and
many more. One of the main purpose of staffing is to put the right person at right Job. Besides
that, it consists of various things such as work force planning, T&D, Remuneration and
Promotion and Transfer.
Directing
It is considered as a part of the managerial Function where methods of organization work
more effectively and efficiently for achievement of the purpose of the security organization. It is
also measured performance of firm that sets within motion the action of individuals due to
organising, planning as well as staffing that are considered as mere preparations for work doing.
Direction is considered as that aspect of management which is inter personnel aspect regarding
management that deals directly with guiding, motivating, for the accomplishment of firms goals.
It contains different elements such as supervising that able to oversee the work of their
subordinate through their superiors. It is considered as directing and watching workers and their
work. Motivation that inspires, boosts subordinate with Zeal to work.
Controlling
It can be used for measurement for achieving against the standards and correcting defects
if any to ensure proper security. It’s aim is to assure that everything should be done
systematically and there must be no confusion. As here controlling is the process regarding
checking towards the objectives as well as goals (Haqaf. and Koyuncu, 2018). It is considered as
the measurement and correction of performance actions in order to ensure security objectives as
well as plans are desired to make sure that firm objectives as well as plans needed to obtain.
Leadership
It is considered as the process through which leader can guide, direct as well as impact
the behaviour as well as work to achieve for specific goals that can be provided within a
situation. Leadership means to encourage individual to perform work in effective way.
Leadership helps in motivating employees so that they can perform their work efficiently and
there will be no confusion among workers related to what work they have to do. Leaders are the
person who guide team members to complete their work on time.

member and superior of each and every person within the firm (Campbell, 2017). As such
structure created intentionally though managers in order to complete the goals of the firm.
Informal groups are made in order to establish through firm in order to accomplish
particular objectives. These groups are also formed through member of such groups as they
emerge naturally within the response of the specialisation of employees. Such group are formed
suddenly without any formal designation as well as interest such as work assistance, self-defence
and social interaction of security industry. Informal groups aids in communicating new
challenges easily as well as effectively.
Informal group also creates warm relationship between subordinates and superior. In
addition to this they emerge naturally within the response to the common interests of firms. It
depends on the communication, personal likings as well as social contacts of the firm. Here one
of the major goal of the informal group is to be impacts productivity. It is vital to integrate the
goals group members with firm goals for the purpose regarding success as well as improvement.
Process of how to solve problem and take correct decisions
Decision making as well as problem solving are considered as two key areas within life.
Whether someone at home or at work whatever a person can doing he or she faces the countless
issues and problem may be large may be small.
