Operation management is concerned with management function of business practices

services. This is related to maintaining quality standards of products along with systematic
management for balance between revenue and cost for the entity. This report is based on TESCO
which is multinational retail sector company dealing in general merchandise and groceries. It is
situated in Hertfordshire, United Kingdom, which was founded by John Allan in the year 1919.
This company follows hierarchical structure as it emphasises on various department of business
as TESCO has multiple layers of departments in organisation structure. This report explains
about characteristics, roles and responsibilities of managers and leaders in specific situation.
Along with this, different approaches concerned with operations management along with various
theories and models. Besides this, Factors of business environment affecting operational
