Detailed Reflection on Management Module: Key Learnings and Skills

INTRODUCTION
Management includes process of planning, leading, organizing the things to do a specific
task (Nambisan, Lyytinen, Majchrzak and Song, 2017). This report will determine a reflection of
the module in which I have learnt about management, business analysis tools and competitive
analysis. In this a detail reflection is done for all these aspects to know what need to be done
next.
MAIN BODY
Reflection
From this module there are different aspects which I have learned and which will help me
more in the future. As I have learned about the management practises and its definitions
presented by different authors. In management there are lots of knowledge and skills which are
also enhanced in me when involving in the module (Policy, 2018). I have learned the system
used in the process of management and different steps such as planning, organizing are
understood by me deeply. Further I know about the business analysis tools which are helping the
management in the particular field. The micro and macro environment analysis are evaluated in
this module, so they assist me to know more about external and internal source who influence the
company.
Pestle analysis is determined deeply so in that all the factors like political, economical,
social and other are learned separately because they are individually had their impacts.
Moreover, in this module I also done the competitive analysis with poter's five force through this
I came to know more about the competition. This is one of the main element in the market to
remain up to date for all business organization (Shtal and et. al., 2018). When I compare the
management approaches of traditional to contemporary then I found that contemporary approach
of management are more effective. Contemporary approach assist to adjust as per the situation in
the market and gain maximum benefits for business. I also found that management is very
complex in modern phase because every organization is trying different style to manage its
people. An effective management practise is that in which organization culture is favourable and
employees are highly engaged with their work.

While doing module there are some skills and knowledge which I know earlier and some
skills are new to new, so I was not that much efficient in that. I am good to develop a plan to
work on it and also efficient to organize the resource for the same. I also good to express my
thought in front of others. I also interact with group of people effectively so this skill are help me
to perform the activities of the module. Before engaging in this module I also had knowledge in
management related subjects and I also presented that in my work.
Yet there are number of skills and knowledge in the management and related skills which
I need to be improved for better future. When the module need information about the
management then I only research on the specific topic. I have not researched in depth for that, so
I want to improve this so that my searching get efficient. I am also not able to resolve the issues
when any conflicts or some situation comes then I have no ideas to deal with them. While in this
module I also have to forecast one situation and take the decision but my forecasting skill is also
very less effective so my assumption is totally wrong (Phadermrod, Crowder and Wills, 2019). I
am still not that much effective to create the furnished data when the raw information are given
to me then I face lots of difficulties to deal with them.
After doing this module I found that research and analytical skills are lacking in me
because for this module also my research are not adequate. I also found that my analytical skills
are also not that much efficient as compare to others (Bell And e. al., 2018). For this module
when I was written about management then also I have not think critical and also not
communication that to others. To improve research and analytical skills in me I will use the
following steps:
 I will be an observant which will observe the people working around me in the working
area. I will inspect things happening near me and find my interested things.
 I also make use of book because this is one of the key to enhance the analytical skills in
me and help to remain active and running. Reading book is an effective way to enhance
the analytical skills.
 I will also practise the ability to solve the problem this will help me to think critically and
with this I will able to know more solution single problem.
 I will also make decision and further I will also rationalize that as per their positive and
negativity aspects. I will also take opinion from the experienced people about the same
and also determine whether that will be the best alternative or not.

 I will also engage in gaming activities to improve my analytical skills as there are number
of games which help to think differently (Arnaud and Vidaillet, 2018). It will help to
develop creativity and also develop the skills like I am more able to research, forecast and
also resolve the problem in effective style.
 I will ask questions to the seniors to know more about the skills in which I am lacking
behind so when I will ask question related to the topic which I need to improve. Then I
can resolve those question effectively within limited time frame.
CONCLUSION
This report concludes that management is a wide term which involve number of activities
in it. The reflection assist to know the individually knowledge regarding the management and
which are the skills and knowledge that need to improve.
