INTRODUCTION
The report is based on management in which different tools and techniques are determined
in order to motivate employees and teams it also includes different theories of motivation by
applying to the organisation (Koster, 2017). In this project, the strategies are also discussed in
order to overcome the conflicts in teams and also the leadership approach which is required to
overcome the issues of lower job retention rates and lack of communication. The chosen fast
food company in UK is XY which is going to merge with Z for reducing the problems of
leadership and management.
TASK

applying to the organisation’s circumstances
Motivation is a process of guiding, maintaining and initiating the goal oriented behaviour. It
generally includes emotional, cognitive, emotional and biological forces that activate behaviour.
There are various tools and techniques through which XYZ can motivate their employees in
order to achieve the goals and objectives of business such as promoting employees, offering
bonus, career growth, ask for employee input, scheduling team building activities, showing
appreciation and celebrating results. Through these tools and techniques, XYZ can increase the
motivation level of its employees due to which they can give productive outcomes in achieving
the business goals and objectives.
Promoting employees is one of the tool and technique through which organisation can
increase the morale and motivation level of staff. It is important for company to focus on
promoting their staff on the basis of their work and performance so that they can achieve their
target in effective and efficient manner.
Showing appreciation is also a tool and technique of motivation through which XYZ can
enhance the motivation level of their staff. Organisation must focus on showing appreciation to
their staff in order to improve their performance and efficiency (Taheri, Motealleh and Younesi,
2021). Employees generally get motivated when manager show appreciation towards the work of
employees.
Performance bonus is also a tool which can be used by XYZ in order to increase the
motivation and morale of employees. XYZ must focus on offering bonus to their employees on

Physiological needs are a basic need which generally includes things that are important
for survival such as food, shelter, water and breathing. While working in XYZ, employees
generally requires access to various services and opportunities that makes them feel that their
basic needs are fulfilled. It is the responsibility of XYZ company to provide drinking water
facility, comfortable working environment and breaks to eat meals.
Safety needs:
It is another need of employees that influence the overall satisfaction within workplace.
In safety and security needs, employees generally demand safety of their job due to they can
contribute their bets efforts in accomplishing the goals and objective of business. XYZ must
offer safe working environment by providing ergonomic office furniture that reduces the risk of
injury.
Love and belonging needs:
It is important for XYZ organisation to create sense of belongings in order to engage
workers in work and make them motivated to succeed in achieving the task. XYZ must focus on

the morale and motivation level of employees due to which they give productive outcomes in
achieving the business goals and objectives. It is one of the effective leadership approaches that
continues to flow effective communication within employees due to which no conflicts arises in
