Question No 1:
What you see is not reality, it is just what you perceive”?
Answer to Question No 1:
In the modern business world or in the political arena or any kinds of social
arrangements, it is often said that “Perception is Reality”. This kind of aphorism is most often
used to justify any kinds of illogical terms. On the other hand, this kinds of things is often
without any touch of reality (psychologytoday.com 2020). Perception always serves as the
lens through which one can view the reality. The perceptions in one’s person helps to judge
the process, identify the truth, understand it, synthesize it and get hold of the actual reality
process.
Perception and reality are believed to be different from each other. Perception can be
better justified as perception is something that has its occurrence totally in the minds of the
people and thus the mental ability can be judged or manipulated by anyone (Caulfield and
Senger 2017). On the other hand, reality is something that has its occurrence totally outside
the human mind. Thus any kind of conflation in between reality and perception can lead
people back to the middle age time.
A well-known psychologist named Daniel Kahneman, the 2002 Nobel Prize Winner
in Economics created a great way to perceive the truth. H said that most of the philosophers
had the idea and always argue that reality is such a thing that doesn’t exist at all. This is
because reality is often considered to be something that cannot be seen or experienced in a
direct form. This is because people cannot see or experience sound or colour but they can just
see them or listen them properly (psychologytoday.com 2020). However, the presence of
innovative and great technology has helped people to objectively measure the reality in a
proper and efficient manner. However, perception has its own say as it is seen that if

perception deviates too much from reality, it can act as a liability and can also lead to
different problems as people might stop functioning in a proper manner. Apart from this there
are also other problems like problems in the societal level. This is seen when people
especially the different people or different constituencies develop bonds (Dexheimer et al.
2018). The absence of any common ground can be a major problem in such cases as
perceptions in such cases turns out to be impossible.
Question No 2:
Why might your perception not match with reality?
Answer to Question No 2:
The beliefs of the people in the modern period and the beliefs of the philosophers of
the postmodern period were quite same in the view of the different kinds of perception. This
experience has been gained by the experience. Though people thinks about the necessity for a
match in between perception and reality, the actual process does not happen. Perception and
reality does not have the history of matching with each other (Caulfield and Senger 2017).
The reaction of people to each and every situations might lead people to think that
“perception is reality but unfortunately it is not so. Different kinds of reasons exists behind
such a fact.
The first element that is behind the mismatch of the two is miscommunication.
Miscommunication between people happens regularly and sticking to the same point over the
same issue might be a real challenge for the people (psychologytoday.com 2020). Therefore
it is true that perception that the miscommunication has happened is always a perception and
never a reality in original. Secondly, the mismatch in between the feeling reactions and the
reality is always a similar factor (Caulfield and Senger 2017). The disconnection in between
reality and perception can always be experienced here. Thus the fear of the people and the

realm of anxiety of the people is always challenging which never matches the real scenario.
This discontent in between feelings and reality is really a source of great worry which really
threatens the reality. Apart from this the misinterpretation of the situation is also one of the
most important factors of the process (Dexheimer et al. 2018). There are people who have the
tendency to make quick judgements which is often to get the best benefit accordingly.
However, this process is totally misleading as quick judgements are always misinterpreted
and does not favour the reality. This clearly proves the absence of any form of match in
between reality and perception. Lastly inaccurate beliefs and misattribution of motives are
clearly other sources of different issues that makes matching impossible for reality and
perception.
