Introduction
This reflective report prepares to understand the self-development needs and to attain the proper
understanding of skills and knowledge that helps me in working effectively in the business. Self-
analysis is important for the proper working in the business market. This reflective report is
based on the self-reflection that gives the various aspects regarding professional development.
The report includes the overall discussion of the personal strengths and areas that guides
regarding the strengths and weakness to improve self-awareness. Personal development is
necessary to achieve better objectives in professional development.
The self-development needs will be analyzed in this report. The SMART goal is important to
achieve in the better personal development so to achieve the SMART goal, the self-analysis is
important which can be done by the SWOT analysis or any other reflective tools. The several
employability skills are also important to achieve the SMART goal so the description of the
employability skills re also included in this process. The proper plan of personal development
will be described in this report. The two learning objectives must be included in this personal
development plan.

Understanding of skills and knowledge for effective working
I have analyzed that for personal development, the various skills and knowledge are used.
Personal development is important for the overall process of development. It covers the different
activities that are used to improve my awareness and also used to develop my potential. Personal
development enhances the quality of life and also contributes to making my dreams real. This
development needs various skills and knowledge because, without the development of skills and
knowledge, proper development cannot be possible (Jackson, 2015).
I have analyzed that there are various skills needed for my personal development and it helps in
making a career in the business field (Bornbaum, et al., 2015). The self-actualization aspect of
the needs is also used for personal development. For my personal development, self-actualization
is essential which helps me in becoming capable. This also provided me with self-fulfillment and
helps in becoming a unique human-being. Self-development is essential for improving various
aspects of life. I have analyzed that for achieving personal growth, the several personal skills are
required that includes competencies, knowledge and talents to achieve self-fulfillment. By
achieving better personal development, the set goals can be achieved easily (Marsh and Farrell,
2015). For achieving the various objectives, personal development is essential for the overall
process.
There are various skills, I have analyzed that are used for personal development. As per the
analysis, I have experienced that these skills also help me in achieving several objectives in
career development.

Develop a personal vision
I have experienced that the development of personal vision is one of the important parts of
personal development. This skill improves the personal development as the personal vision
makes a clear idea where we want to be I next five years. The vision is one of the important
skills used in personal development.

The readiness for employment is defined as being able t find, acquire and keep an appropriate
job as well as manage transitions for the new jobs as needed. The employment readiness is too
important and effective as it improves the overall process of personal development. I have
experienced that the readiness for employment is the analysis of better personal development.
The readiness skills ensure the person that they have academic, personal land thinking skills to
manage the employment (Muller nad VanGilder, 2014). Several communication skills are also
important to this process. I have experienced that job readiness is important as it includes both
cognitive skills such as reading for information, problem-solving and critical thinking and non-
cognitive skills which include personal characteristics.
The employment readiness is too effective in the overall personal development as it improves the
different perspectives of the development. The employment readiness is also responsible for
achieving various skills related to the development which makes the development easier
(Douglas and Hewett, 2014). The specific skills are needed for a specific job as it is required for
the employment sector. I need to maintain job readiness for attaining the goals and objectives
regarding the personal development that helps me in becoming professionally stable. Learning
and development are necessary for employment readiness (Rothman, 2012). But in this process,
the various barriers have occurred. These barriers affect the overall development of the person
and create many problems in my proper development. It is important for me to aware regarding
the barriers occur in the process of learning and development. After facing the barriers, for the
proper career and professional development, it is important to overcome these barriers. The
common barriers in learning are discussed as below-

For managing the barriers, it is important to manage these barriers to overcome them for better

I have analyzed that SWOT analysis plays an important role in personal development as this

analysis is responsible to increase the self- confidence, self-esteem and self-image. This is one of

implementing the SWOT analysis, it helps me in attaining the several objectives in professional
development. The person attains several positive changes by analysis of the SWOT process

occurred in the overall process.

The employment goals are too important in the overall personal development as the goals are the
most important part of personal development. The employment goals need to be proper in a way
so that the achievement of goals is going in a proper manner (Loewe, 2012). The establishing of
goals are included as the important process as it is used for career development. The employment
goals play an important role in my business especially for the personal and career development
as the vision becomes clear that what objectives and goals need to be achieved. The overall team
of the personal development used in the establishment of employment goals (Cottrell, 2015). I
have analyzed that the goals need to be SMART so all the categories must be followed in
establishing the goals.
SMART goals have different categories that goals must be specific, measurable, achievable,
relevant and time-bound. The SMART goals are essential for achieving long-term success and
they help in making better strategies for planning. I have experienced that the goals provide
better personal development. These goals give clarity and focus on the overall process of
personal development (Sammu-Bonnici, and Galea, 2015). People can achieve SMART goals by
improving their thinking process. The critical thinking of employees increases the overall
development and it makes the objectives SMART.
I need to set the goals to align with the company objectives so that the company achieves the
growth strategy to be effective. Each goal of the employee tied with the overall growth and these
help in achieving the objective. The focus on the company relates to short-term and future
success. This also gives the successful employee performance review. Employee engagement
also becomes deeper related to the SMART objectives (Raub and Liao, 2012). Invite the
employees to identify job-specific goals. I have analyzed that there is a large difference among
all the goals of the employees and it increases productivity. The set of smart goals is too
important to achieve the motivation of the employees. The goal should be attained by the
employees for their personal development. The personal development goals are too important for
the employees as it increases the overall process of the employees.

personal development plan helps to encourage my self-awareness and self-reliant (Zimmerman
and Labhun, 2012). This helps to achieve the overall growth in future aspects. I have analyzed
that personal development improves the self-awareness among the people and employees and
maintains their professional and personal spheres. All the business and personal goals are also
included in this process (Crayford, et al., 2012). In the personal development plan, several
learning objectives are used. As these learning objectives show the overall goals included in
personal development. The personal development includes the main learning objectives that need
by me for achieving better personal development. One of the learning objectives is to improve
the confidence, the other learning objective is to improve the body language and the last learning
objective is to get along with others (Schloberova, 2015).
