Leadership is a process where a leader guide, direct, and manage all the task and lead the
team towards their organizational goal. Leadership management refers to a process where
managers and leaders try to induce, motivate all his or her subordinates to work with zeal and
confidence. Managing all the activities of the business and organization. Managers perform his

now of total rooms of 453 and suits of 56. London Hilton on Park Laneis also received a royal
warrant from the prince of wales for its banquet's excellent catering services. London Hilton on
Park Laneis is a very famous hotel and listed among the best hotel in London.
P1 Classical management
Theories
Management theories are guide book for the managers and leaders to manage whole
organization and work accordingly with aim to achieve specific goal of the organization, these
theories help the managers to run their organization and managers assist employees to work in
effective and efficient manner.
There are few theories which are as follows:
1 Taylor’s theory of scientific management: according to Taylor management is a science. To get
the desired results he stated that science laws and tool and techniques can be used in the study of
management(Shek, D.T., Chung, P.P. and Leung, H., 2015.) . Taylor profound five major principles
of scientific management which are as follows:
Science, not rule of thumb- According to the Taylor, science can manage all the activities of the
organization with perfection because there is specific way or method for every activity for
managing activities of management in scientific way we have to understand what is the need, we
have to analyze the situation, and then apply the methods and techniques of science. In service
industry(Shek, D.T. and Lin, L., 2015.) ,Traditional methods did not give any certain result for the
situations it is all the experience of the managers which is gained by him in the past years so all
these methods are untested and non-scientific they do not guarantee any kind of success.

Harmony, Not Discord – Taylor stated that the prosperity and success of the organization is
depended on the employees and management and by working with each other every employee
should work in harmony and avoid mismanagement in the organization(Angulo, S.G., 2018.) . In
service industry there the employees working in harmony is very important for success of the
organization. Every group should work together and with a positive attitude for their work and
towards the organizations.
Mental Revolution- Taylor stated that employees of every organization is the strength for the
managers and these employees should work with aim to achieve organizations goal, and if
employees did not support with the positive attitude (Gibson, P. and Parkman, R., 2018.). The
concept of mental revolution defines that the growth of organization depends upon employees.
Cooperation, not individualism- this priciple states that cooperation where all employees,
superior and subordinates work for the organisation and aim to acheive the main objective so it is
not about one person adn his or powers.
Development of Every Person to his Greatest Efficiency- Development of every employees is
necessary and for the growth of the employees in workforce to take every employees to the
maximum growth.
Behavioral Management Theory – Behavioral theory is given by Elton mayo it states that the
behavior of the employees have a impact on the organization by their behavior(Shamim, S., Cang,
S. and Yu, H., 2019.) I . This theory believed that for a better understanding of human behavior at
workforce in service industry employees plays a very important role in the organization where
behavior of every worker should positive and motivation, conflict, expectations and these
dynamic of any group will increase the productivity. Conclusion of this theory says that
motivation help to relocate the behavior of the employees which puts an effective image of the
organization

Leader is the person who leads his or her team from the front and manage all tasks and
activities as a group is called as leader.

Aligning people towards the vision the main role where leader have to perform for the
organization(Shamim, S., Cang, S. and Yu, H., 2019.) I. In service sector leader roles are similar in
all sectors of the business . The main task of every leader to align all the employees and always
describe them, motivate them about the main vision of the organization . For implementation, the
leaders has a vision towards vision. Vision, mission is always the first priority and key people in
the service industry like managers of hotel and restaurants through there silks and charisma.
Rewards is the motivation strategy for make people or employees to do what the leader wants
them to do. Inspire trust, leader should build his trust among the employees or with his team and
be credible leader that employees choose him and follow him both his or her characters and
competence. Execute strategy, leader is the person who ensures that every strategy that he or she

1. Democratic leadership: is a commonly effective and mostly used leadership styles in the
service sector and in every sector in restaurant and hotel industry this is used as an
effective tool and also this tool or style of leadership is mostly used in these sectors
where leadership is most effective because it allows at every level of employees with
there opinion all strategies are made wisely and in board meeting decisions can be made.
2. Autocratic leadership: is a rarely used and less effective style in the leadership this style
is the inverse of the democratic style of leadership where in service sector this style of
leadership is rarely used as because for the important decision there is no need of
employees and there consult is not the issue for them and leaders are autocrat who did not
need any employees for the direction for the business(Tuan, L.T., 2018.) . This leadership
in not appropriate and this leadership style is not successful as others.
3. Laissez – faire leadership : this leadership style is sometime effective when the leader of
the team is not effective so employees took all the care of the business. In service sector
some of the restaurant are in the list where there owner is fully dependent on the
employees where employees make all policies for the service to the customer.
4. Strategic planning - plan made by the leader for organization strategy leader sit at the
companies main operations and discuss there growth while ensuring that current working
conditions of the organization will remain stable for everyone else(Ling, Q., Liu, F. and Wu,
