INTRODUCTION
Business management describe planning, organising and analysing different activities that are
needed for efficiently managing or running a business organisation. The individual who want to
work in diverse fields and industry, they are required to have a degree on business management
(Sroufe, 2018). The following is a personal reflection that describes learning experience of an
individual which has been gained its journal entries in 6-10 weeks. It further describes important
skill development along with action plan by using SMART framework.
MAIN BODY
In the module of introduction business which was based on week 6-10 I learn various aspects of
business management. This will help me to develop my effective learning skills which help me
to manage my future business in better manner. In this module, various lectures are taken in
between 6 to 10 weeks which helps me to learn about the business management. In week 6,
introduction of business management was describes in which different lecture are taken that
describes about introduction to international business, internationalisation business,
internationalisation motives along with international entry modes. This will help me to learn how
to manage a national and international business along with the factors that helps in expanding the
business in another country (Dibrell and Memili, 2019). It also helps me to understand about the
different kind international entry modes that are available which helps company to expand their
business in another country. This module also provided VARK Questionnaire which helps me to
understand about my knowledge related to visual, auditory, read or write and kinaesthetic
factors. Week 7 lectures are based on Knowledge base as well as HR and motivation in which I
learn information related to introduction to HRM, motivation, CV help guide. This will help me
to understand about the factors that help in motivating the employees in better manner in order to
achieve organisational goals and objectives. The lectures in Week 8 were based on information
technology and It system which help me to gain knowledge about the technology and E-business
and IS, enterprise resource planning as well as supply chain relationship. This describes that the
technology is a most effective factors which me to operate my future business in smooth manner.
The lectures in Week 9 was innovation and international business that covered various topics
which includes entrepreneurship topic material, innovation supplementary materials, innovative

in international business in order to increase the growth of the company in international market.
In last, Week 10 lectures were based on the knowledge base and assessment 2 supports. These
lectures provided information related to the knowledge base, logical fallacies lecture slides and
exercise, UoB Harvard referencing guide.
While studying this module I develop various skills which help me in my academic as well as
professional life. This will includes communication skills, numeracy, ICT, problem solving as
well as working with others. Communication skills make me effective in order to make my
verbal and written communication better in order to interact and influence other individual in
better manner (Ardito and Petruzzelli, 2018). Numeracy skill helps me to understand how I can
effectively use data and statics in my professional life in better manner. ICT skills help me to
manage and operate various activities through information systems as well as how to use
Microsoft office programs in better manner. Problem solving skill helps me to understand how to
analyse and collect information which helps me to effectively find the solutions in order to solve
the particular problem in better manner. Team work skill is most essential skill which I develop
in this module which helps me to learn how I can effectively with my future employees
effectively in order to achieve common goals.
Action Plan-
There are some skills that I need to develop I order to manage and operate my future business in
effective manner. SMART framework is an most effective method which help me to analyse all
the factors that are required in development of skills (Chadwick and Anagnostopoulos, 2019).
