This report will be going to consider the soft and hard skills required by the management and
leadership for the service sector. This will also include the skills in the service sector have
developed.
Hospitality Management
Event planning is a procedure for managing a project. The event planner is one which
coordinates expert meetings and events (Kusluvan, 2010).
Soft Skills
Soft skills, which are needed by an event planner, are (Bee, 2015).
Being positive
In any event, there are many situations when it can result in negative effects but being
positive can ensure a positive result.
Communication ability
At the event, having communication skills is main. As many times individuals have to deal
with the customers, suppliers. So communicating well with them can enhance growth.
Ability to work effectively, under pressure
Sometimes there is the possibility when the environment is under pressure then the event
manager should have the ability to deal with such pressure effectively.
Managed time well and organized
The success of the event totally depends upon the organization and the effects of planned

and a force that leadership should enhance their leadership skills by serves both technical
developers and implementers. There are some of the factors which are forcing the leaders to
change their leadership skills (Fisher, 2014).

Managing stakeholder needs is one of the most important aspects of the success of the

Leaders and management ha various types of roles in event management. Managers plan and
organizational promotion, business and social events. Leaders manage the whole process
from the planning stage and until running the event. Leaders and management also carry out
the post-event evaluation. Leadership style is one of the main factors which lead to a
successful event. The role of leadership and management affect the leadership style by
affecting the culture of the workplace. Various leadership styles are not able to achieve
framed goals of an organization (Marcketti, 2011).
