INTRODUCTION
The word management is defined as the head administration of a business
organisation whether it is concerned with the business or a non-profit company or a
government body. It is defined as the art and science of managing resources of the business
enterprise. In management there are various activities of setting the strategy of in business
enterprise in coordinating the various efforts of the staff members in order to accomplish the
goals and objectives through the available resources within the environment. It is very
important that the company manages the various resources such as financial, technological,
human resource in order to gain the competitive advantage. The management is a crucial part
within the business organisation in order to be successfully achieved the growth the
reputation within the market.( Edelson, S.A., Senk, C.C. and Stock, K.L., 2018). This report will
include the various topics such as the management structure in the business functions, the
management function the rules and responsibilities of the function, into relation of the
management function the role of HR, defining organisational culture and at last the
consequence of a strong was this week organisation culture.
MAIN BODY
Management structure and business functions
Organisational structure- The organisation structure is defined as a system which
outlines a certain activity which are directed in order to achieve the objectives and goals of
the business enterprise. There are various activities which are included such as rules, rules
and responsibilities. This also defines how the information flows between the different levels
of the business enterprise. It is very important to define the structure of the business in order
to gain the competitiveness and complete the task within the limited time period.( Cameron, C.
and Rössler, M., 2018)
Management and management theories- The management theory is defined as the
various collection of the ideas which recommend general rules in order to manage an
organisation at the business enterprise. There are several management theories which are
important for the organisation such as scientific management theory principles of
administration management theory human relations theory systematic management theory.
There are different types of organisational structures such as functional, divisional, hierarchal
etc.
It is very important for an organisation to adopt a structure in order to have a smooth flow of
the information between different level of the department within the organisation. for
example, the Sainsbury follows a hierarchal structure in its organisation in order to
communicate with different departments. This type of structure follows a series of the level
of people and the level of above the control over the business enterprise. This type of
structure has a advantage of the clear chain of command within the workplace.
Business functions
The business functions are defined as the various activities which is performed by the various
employees in order to achieve the goals and objectives of the business enterprise.

There are various types of business functions which is performed within the business
organisation and there are different roles and responsibility of each function which are
discussed below:
Finance function- This is the business function within the organisation where thee
employees are responsible for performing the task related to the management of financial
resources of the company. (Wu, B., 2020)
Human resource function- This is the business function where the department have certain
roles and responsibility such as to hire the talented workforce and maintain the retention of
employees within the company by motivating them.
Management functions
There is basic five functions of the management are defined by Henry Fayol which
are planning, organising, commanding, coordinating and controlling. The Henry Fayol
defined as these functions are universal within the business organisation. it is very important
for the business organisation to adopt these management functions in order to achieve the
goals and objectives. There are various role sand responsibilities of each function. The
planning requires the various roles such as planning for the task which need to accomplished
by the company. The organisation as a function included the activities and the power of the
manager to organise the task in the effective and efficient way. This is the part of the
management function where the manager is responsible of performing all the five functions’
in a appropriate way. After organisation the things in the right way in it is the responsibility
of a manager to command the task to its subordinates and then coordinating comes with the
management of the various task among the several subordinates. The last function is of
controlling which is most essential or the management.
Interrelation of management functions
It is identified that all the management functions are interrelated and the impact of the
one function depends on the other management functions of the business organisation. the
managements functions help the business enterprise to achieve growth and success. All the
functions are interrelated as if the planning is done in the right way, then the manager can
perform the organisation of the task in a effective and efficient way. It is very important to
plan in a appropriate way so that the other functions can be performed in order to achieve the
goals and objectives. It is very important for an enterprise to coordinate very function
effectively so that company can focus on the other functions. If the organising is well
prepared and the task is organised this can help the organisation in coordinating the other
activities. (Van Gils, B., 2020)
Marketing function
The marketing functions plays a major role in achieving the goals and objectives of
the business enterprise. The marketing department is responsible for performing the activities
in order to promote the rand and the products or services of the company. It is very crucial
function of the business organisation and need to be managed in a more effective and
efficient way in order to achieve success and growth. The marketing functions is basically
communicating with customers.

Marketing and its relationship with other functions
The marketing has a relation with the several other business functions in order to
achieve the goals and objectives. The other functions such as finance, human resource helps
the marketing functions to perform better in the organisation. the marketing function has the
role of promoting the brand and achieving more of profits by increasing the sale of the
company. The marketing functions helps the other functions in performing the task and
achieving the goas and objectives of the business organisation. the various other functions

human resource function helps in recruiting the best talent for the company in order to

HR and talent management
The human resource manager has the various roles and responsibilities such as
recruiting the fresh and talented workforce, the management of people, training and
development of employees etc. the talent management is defined as the full scope of the HR
processes in order to attract, onboard, motivate, develop, retain the high performance of the
employees within the business organisation. the talent management is aimed in order to
improve the business performance in order to achieve the goals and objectives.
Organisation culture
The organisation culture is defined as the beliefs, values and way of interacting which
contributes to the unique and social and psychological environment within the workplace of a
business organisation. it is very important for the company to keep the happy and the good
working culture in order to attract employees within the workplace and this motivates them to
work. There are different types of organisation culture such as empowered culture, culture of
innovation, sales culture etc. the culture of the company defines the working environment.
It is very important or the company to keep a strong working culture. As there are different
consequences of a weak and strong culture within the business enterprise. For example, in
Tesco company if the organisation has a weak culture the employees will be not motivated in
order to achieve the task and goals. This can lead to the less productivity and this can any be
loss for the company. As on the other hand if the company has a strong culture which
motivates employees then this will help in achieving the goals and objectives and also in
motivating employees to perform better. (Ballantyne, H., 2018)
CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been concluded that the management is all about
performing the different functions such as planning, organising, commanding, coordinating,
and controlling the activities in order to achieve the goals and objectives. It is very essential
to follow a organisation structure in order to have a smooth flow of the information within the
different level of departments. The marketing functions also plays a important role for the
business organisation. The marketing management is all about promoting the brand.
