INTRODUCTION
Management is defined as process of managing number of operations and functions in an
organization, that play vital role in the context of their growth and success in the business world.
The aim of this study is to explain management structure, business functions, managerial
functions and how they manage a venture. Furthermore, it will specify marketing functions, their
relation to venture success, talent management and organizational culture.
TASK
1- Management structure and business functions
Organizational structure refer to the key approach or way by which an organization
conduct their activities and strategic practices in effective and productive manner. The main
reason behind using and forming an organizational structure is to coordinate and collaborate with
individual person who perform their role in a company, in appropriate manner.
Management is considered as an effective procedure that aid to make useful plans and
strategies in the companies that in turn provide desire outcomes to them. This process provides
unpredictable advantages of a company, whether it is small or large.
Scientific management, contingency and Bureaucratic, are the three different types of
management theories that accessible in the world of business and utilized in the context of varied
organizations. Each theory plays important role to manage business operations and activities
related to the same in appropriate way.

Henry Fayol's five functions of management, including roles and responsibilities-
Planning-
It is important for Morrison's and its management to make effective plan that aid to
achieve strategic aims and objectives (Maidiana, 2021). The role of this function is to set key
goals and identify a course of action. Their responsibility is to make plans on the basis of
environmental analysis.
Organizing-
This function may drive the attention of administration toward organizing everything
according to the plan. Their role and responsibility is to arrange everything from technology to
human resource appropriately.
Commanding-
Another function according to the chosen theory is current one. The role of commanding
function is to make a good control upon flow of information in the workplace and other things as
well. The responsibility of commanding function is to provide appropriate directions and
working instructions to employees.
Coordinating-
The role of current function in the Morrison's is to coordinate or collaborate with all the
people in appropriate manner. Their responsibility is to make coordination and communication
process effective.

Controlling function role is to establish excellent performance standard based on
company objectives. As their accountability is to measure and then report on real performance.
Interrelationships of management functions-
Planning and organizing are the two beneficial and essential managerial functions that
play important role in the success of Morrison's. The interrelationships between both functions
may contribute to make company successful in term of increasing profitability and customer
satisfaction level. Both functions are interrelated with each other in term of making appropriate
coordination and collaboration (Fuadi, 2022). As for organizing each venture activity, including
employees performance, is it essential for administration to coordinate with planning function
that aid to achieve strategic goals and objectives of retail firm. The coordination between both
functions contribute to manage organizational success.
3- Marketing function and its relation to business success.
Within Morrison's, marketing function must work with other venture functions as well, in
order to make their company successful in the retail industry, where competition level among
existing organizations is high. The current function may work and perform with customer
service department, for purpose of collecting more information about customers needs and
requirements that they may utilize to prepare or plan the best marketing campaign. As it may aid
to affect positively upon business success in term of increasing profitability, productivity and
customer satisfaction level that is quite essential for each department to do so strategically and
appropriately.
Another function with marketing department may work appropriately and
collaboratively is IT. As they are able to solve technical issues that put negative impact on
marketing practices and activities directly or indirectly. They both coordinate and interact with
each other in order to solve technical issues and overcome the adverse impact of each challenge.
It may enable them to succeed Morrison's in the retail sector in form of generating awareness
about its products and venture worldwide. It may help to gain the attention of new customers and
retain existing buyers, as they may get information about any new product or service that firm
may plan to introduce in the market.
Marketing department along with above two business functions also work with other
as well such as controlling in form of finance department, that accountable to manage and
control in process of in and out flow of money. Their coordination is good for organizational

success as they make good communication and understanding for purpose of money that a
marketing manager require to do their best. They may require a specific amount of money that
aid to make the best plan or campaign that attract new stakeholders including workers,
customers, investors and suppliers.
4- Talent management and organizational culture.
Human resource management role in the Morrison's is to manage staff performance
and increase their productivity level. HR is accountable to manage the talent of employees in the
workplace in form of boosting their morale and confidence level, even better than last few weeks
or months, which is important for them to do so in the context of organizational success.
HR is responsible to hire skilled and talented people in the workplace, who can
contribute to reach desire outcomes. Along with that, they are also accountable to maintain
employee records that utilize further for purpose of performance appraisal and attendance
management.
Talent management, is defined as key initiative that human resource management taken
in order to achieve objectives of Morrison's in effective manner. It is considered as full scope of
human resource procedures that aid to gain the attention, onboard, motivate, develop and retain
high performing workers. This initiative may aid to achieve Morrison's aims and objectives in
form of building wide and strong workforce.
Organizational culture-
The success and growth of a business is possible when management may have and create
the best organizational culture that refer to the positive behaviour and attribute of individuals in
the companies that influence others performance (Hardcopf, Liu and Shah, 2021). There are
different forms of organizational culture examples accessible in the corporate world, such as
Adhocracy, clan, market and hierarchy. Each form of organizational culture put direct impact on
success of a company, either public or private.
Consequences of a strong vs weak organizational culture-
It can be said that strong or positive organizational culture affect business success and
growth in positive manner that is quite different from weak organizational culture (Astuti and
Soliha, 2021). Healthy culture in a company play important role to boost the morale and
confidence of employee, while weak culture lead to decrease staff performance.

CONCLUSION
On the basis of above discussion, it has been concluded that marketing and other
departments had managed business growth and success in the retail industry. They had
contributed to increased profitability and productivity level of company that play significant role
in the context of its success and unpredictable growth.
