Introduction
Management is a process of planning, making several decisions, organizing, leading,
motivating and controlling the human resource, financial resources of an organisation so that the
company can attain there targeted goals in an effective manner. This report has been discussed
about the different organisational structures and different theories of Management (Baumgartner
and Rauter, 2017). It also talks about the difference with respect to their roles and responsibilities
among each other. The theory of Henry Fayol and marketing functions are discussed.

Management structure and Business functions
Organisational structure is the system which helps the company to outline the certain
activities which are directed to them in order to achieve the goals of the company (Carillo, 2017).
It also helps in analysing the flow of information among the different levels within the
enterprise.
Types of organisational structures
Functional structure: it is a structure which is implemented in the real world. It is the
most common structure which is used by the meaning of the organisations. In this
organisation news to break up based on specialisation with respect to their employees. In
this the form used to divide their different departments by using a bureaucratic
organisational structure.
The advantage to adopting functional structure is that it helps in determining the skills
and knowledge possessed by their employees within the organisation so that the company can
optimum utilize it (Cosenz and Noto, 2018). The main disadvantage of this structure is that it is
used to divide the workforce with respect to their skills and knowledge which might be why do
you motivate Their employees as it separates the creamy layer and lower level into two separate
departments.

Divisional structure: it is used by the large companies with different business units. It is
the method where the company uses its leadership team with respect to their products,
projects or subsidiaries which are operated by the organisation.
The advantage of Divisional structure is it helps in segregating the large section of a company
into semi-auto monomers groups. As it allows to build a common culture that contributes to both
higher moral and better knowledge (Xiong, Cao and Yu, 2018). The weaknesses of this structure
is it comprises a company of competing divisions as it may allow office politics and affects the
view of such functions.
Management and their theories
Management is the administration of every company which includes the activities related to
developing and strategies and co-ordinate the efforts of their workforce so that they can
accomplish the common goal of an organisation with the help of available resources (Lee, 2018).
Management theories recommend the strategies which help the organisations to determine the
approach in order to manage themselves. They are classified into three types such as
Classical Management Theory: in this theory it is based upon the belief of their
workers which have only physical and economical needs. They are focused on the
maximisation of their profits.
Behavioral management theory: in this theory it focuses on the human aspects of work
which means human relation movement as it is Piles to gain a better understanding of the
behaviour of humans in order to improve the productivity within the organization
(Elsäßer and Wirtz, 2017). It focuses on the different aspects such as motivation, solving
the conflicts, satisfying the Expectations of their employees and many others.
Modern Management Theory: it refers to the use of systematic mathematical techniques
in order to determine and understand the interrelationship of Management and workers
with all the aspects within the organisation.
Marketing functions
The marketing department helps the organisation in order to promote the goods and services into
a competitive market (Renwick and Archibald, 2018). There are several functions some of them
are discussed below:

The main function is to gather and analyse information related to the market so that the
company can determine their efforts in order to understand the needs and wants of their
targeted customers.
They play a major role with respect to selling of their products as the department used to
design the product in a better and attractive way as compared to the products of the Other
competitors firms. Tesco PLC managers used to determine the competitive market which
will be helpful for them in order to design their products in an attractive manner which
helps them to sell it in a competitive market.
Management Functions
Henry has determined the five functions of Management which are discussed below:
Planning: the managers of every organisation are responsible to plan and to develop
strategies and secure the achievements of their future goals.
Organising: at this stage, the managers are responsible to organize the work force so that
they can attend the common goal of the organisation in an efficient manner. They also
align the activities of an organisation and recruit the right people for the vacant job.
Commanding: the supervisors of subordinates are responsible to command about their
daily work and also responsible to motivate them so that they can achieve the given
targets (Delery and Roumpi, 2017). They are also responsible to communicate the goals
of an organisation and policies to their subordinate so that the workforce can maintain
their standards.
Coordinating: the managers are harmonized procedure and activities which can be
performed by the organisation. The workforce and the manager must coordinate with
each other in order to attend the set targets.
Controlling: the managers are responsible to control the activities within the company
and also look with respect to the general policies and objectives (Yang and et. al., 2018).
They also have a responsibility related to observe and manage day plans and objectives
and take the proper initiative in order to correct them.
In every organisation they are responsible to adopt The Henry fuels 5 functions of Management
so that Deccan plant their main objective and further work upon it in order to attain that
(Nunes, Causer and Ciolkosz, 2020). For this the managers of an organisation use to

workforce and tell them about an effective manner and co-ordinate with them while
controlling upon each of the department.
Interrelation of Management Functions
Every function of the management is interrelated to each other as one department's
functions are related to one another. Essentially the success of a business is there in which the
food department will not work under one or unless all the departments work with the help of one
another. The departments interrelate within a business organisation. The departments use to
maintain a communication within each other as this helps them to know what the other
departments are doing and where they are facing the issues. This helps them to research and
develop different strategies which will be helpful for the organisation to attain their set targets in
an effective manner.
HR department and marketing department: please both partners are the separate
departments within the organisation. But they both work together in order to attain the
common goals. The HR department used to manage the employees which are in the
marketing department and also hire the required candidates to fill the vacant place. These
departments are used to determine the needs of one another in order to satisfy them.
Human Resource and sales department: These both departments of an enterprise use to
work together in order to make it more successful in order to get positive business rules
by working together. The sales department has to focus in order to enhance the sales of
the products and services offered by the organisation and the Human Resource
Department is responsible to improve the employees engagement and productivity which
leads to the higher corporate earning.
HR and Talent Management
Human Resource Management is the department of an organisation with is in charge in
order to find, screening, recruiting and training the applicants as well as administrating,
employees benefits program and other sessions which helps them to motivate their workforce in
an effective manner (Thöns, 2018).

Recruit candidates: the department is responsible in order to understand the needs of an
organisation and make sure that they recruit such new candidates in order to satisfy the
needs of the requirements of an organisation.
Process payroll: every paid must have taxes calculated and hours collected. The
department is responsible to reimbursed the expenses which are in God in the
organization (Ingram and et. al., 2019). They are also responsible to raise bonuses into
the account of their employees.
Conduct disciplinary action: the department is also responsible to determine any bad rap
and take proper disciplinary action which mainly leads to the loss of a valuable employee

market.
Maintain employees records: the department is responsible to maintain the records of
their employees with respect to their attendance also. This helps them to calculate their
salaries (Kaplan, 2018). They also contain the personal details and emergency contact

Talent management
Talent management means an anticipation of required human capital within the
organisation that helps them to plan in an effective manner so that they can make the designs of
an organisation. It plays an important role in order to achieve the business objectives as it attracts
the top talented and skillful employees which are available in the organisation. This helps them
to create a positive brand image in order to attract other candidates towards the organisation.
This helps in organising the different activities in order to motivate their employees which helps
them in creating more reasons to stay in the enterprise.
Organisational Culture
An organisational setup which helps the employees to come together to achieve the set
targets of a firm. For this it is important for the employees to coordinate with each other so that
they can achieve their targets within the stipulated time period (Trapp, Voigt and Brem, 2018).

From the above it can be concluded that, organisation is required to have a strong
management function in order to manage their Enterprise in an effective manner. The
organisation must have a strong talent management staff so that they can hold the skillful
employees within the organisation. For this the company must develop strong strategies which
help them to attain the common goals of an organisation. Charles' handy model is very important
which can be adopted by the organisation to determine the behavior of their employees so that
the firm can also adopt the different steps accordingly.
