INTRODUCTION
Management term is used and comes under administration of a company and in this
superiors manage the entire working. For this, they make effective strategies so that employees
can work in coordination. I am a management student doing my MBA from XYZ University. I
chosen this field of study because working in a company in future requires management skills
which will moreover assist me in performing my activities in an effective way. Purpose of my
study is to analyse different situations or circumstances which can arise in business. As a result,
it will make me prepare for future outcomes.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
A business environment requires various kinds of elements and factors such as
organisational behaviour, politics and various dynamics of business environment. I was an intern
in Metro Cash and Carry AG, for the duration of six months and there is get to know about my
strengths, weaknesses which are need to be improved so that better results can be gained. Other
than this, it also aid me in knowing the opportunities which can be grabbed and threats that are
required to be looked after in order to with effectively. There are naturally three process of
occurring data and these are through conversation, e-mails, corporate artefacts which happened
on a regular basis etc., It is a saying that a person knows himself/herself better than others tell
him/her about their nature and behaviour. There are different sources from where we can
evaluate our personality. For instance: while working in Metro Cash and Carry AG, which is a
retail company looking at my work my manager told communicate with me and told me about
my strengths and weaknesses such as I am very good in interacting and making other people
understand about the task they have to perform this is my strengths but along with this, my short
tempered behaviour was my negative point as when my team doesn't perform well than I
sometimes become annoyed.
Earlier doing self-assessment was not easier as people had to consult a counsellor in order
to know about the personality but now there are many tools and techniques from where an
individual can easily evaluate his strengths and weaknesses. Thus, for evaluating my strengths I
used Myers-Briggs Type Indicator tool which provided me with effective results about my
strengths and weaknesses. Other than this, with the help of other natural occurring such as e-
mail, through this Chairman of the company appreciated my work. Through mail I got to know

chaos in delivering system and managing all the items at warehouses and for this I got
performance appraisal also which motivated me for doing all my activities even more properly.
Along with this, I got to my weakness as well such as my stubborn nature some creates problem
for me in executing my work properly as it drive me emotionally in some cases. Apart from
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator tool I chose VIA Character Strengths Survey, which provided me
information related to my character strengths like whether I am positive in emotions or having
better better relationships with my subordinates and other staff members.
SWOT ANALYSIS
A person is more likely to be successful if he/she is familiar about the strengths and
weaknesses and along with this if he/she is aware of opportunities and threats that are present.
Thus, all these activities assist a person in knowing about themselves areas where they are good
and areas where they are required to make improvement. Therefore, with the help of Myers-
Briggs Type Indicator tool I got to know about the personal SWOT and these are explained
below for better understanding.

company with competitive advancement. Rather if I am placed in the position for which I am not
fit than this will ultimately decrease my proficiency and I will not be able to provide effective
results to the company as well.

weaknesses, opportunities and threats which will further assist me in making improvement in my

think in an innovative and different way. It improves firm strengths and enable workers in
performing their task in an appropriate manner. According to me I consider diversity as both
strengths and weakness because for achieving goals and objectives a person with different talent
can make the work more easier to achieve. Whereas this can act as a negative impact as well
because people from diverse background can raise conflicts which can further affect business
environment.
Access of something is not good as it has its pros and cons. Thus, in relation with
considering diversity as opportunity or threat it works both because people with diverse
knowledge can have greater opportunity as compares to people who have limited skills and
proficiency. This will enable them in performing their task in an effective manner so that better

service and bulk purchasing. Company's lag behind in operating its management functions
because of which their sales and profitability was decreasing. Therefore, as I am good in
influencing others and managing all the activities related to marketing thus, all my skills makes
me fit for organisation.
Henceforth, through SWOT analysis I am seeing myself working with the company in
future as firm requires a person who is capable of managing activities and other administrative
work.
