Introduction
With the increase in diversity at the workplaces, the role of teamwork has become significant.
This importance is not limited to physical teams but it has also created the value of virtual
teams as the main aim of the organisation is to achieve activities and share its worth (Talman,
2018).
Why teamwork is important?
This report shares the experience of performance and functioning of the team. With the
increase in diversified workplace and complex situations, it becomes important to negotiate,
contribute, delegate, and finally handle the team in such a way that can direct to achieve the
organisational goals. In the process of achieving the greater organisational performance, I
have identified that no individualism can work effectively rather than collaborating other`s
efforts in order to achieve the organisational effectiveness (Talman, 2018).
After being a team member, I think teamwork is important as it amalgamates the endeavours
of several differentiated talented p0eople who has different experiences of different subjects.
Team spirit helped me develop confidence by attaining the possibilities of gaining varied
range of effectiveness in the work. I strongly believe that teamwork increases the bond that
further lead to better performance and superior results as weakness can become strength with
the bond and togetherness of team members (Talman, 2018). Once my team and I went for an
innovation formulation strategy where I realised that a particular weaknesses lead to superior
decisions as a group can lead to value addition to the idea once formed. Each team member
contributed to give different perspective that finally help our team to coordinate and form a
new idea by collaborative decision-making (Cha, Kim, Lee, & Bachrach, 2015). It was an

goals, which is a significant part of the procedure that gives an overview as well as the
possible measure of the activities set out. As soon as team has been established before, the
procedure has been either started or setting the goals for my team which were created to

be performed and encompassed on the entire possible thing, which the team can learn from
each other and measure it whether our team has been performing appropriately or not. It deals
with communicating, learning, trusting, motivating, leadership, risk-taking, active listening,
and communication skills, which have to be considered on utmost priority (Landon, Slack, &

The another step in the teamwork processing is the awareness. This step has helped to get

apart from the differences (McComb, Lemaster, Henneman, & Hinchey, 2017). It also creates
appreciation for one another, which has resulted to increased trust, respect, and friendly
behaviour in the team. With this step, the team will be able to easily elaborate the topic and
discuss the issues, which are related to goals, which we have previously set in the expansion
of business at international level. The next step is on the basis of activities performed in the

realised that with my moderate efforts and not panic situations, we have finally achieved
organisational goals not because of the team member`s relationships but also their efforts.
With the collaboration of efforts, we have recognised the thought process of the group minds
especially when it comes to accomplish organisational effectiveness (Driskell, Salas, &
Driskell, 2018). Some of the challenges that we have faced during the executing the we
should work together to solve the issues such has conflicting situations, external fluctuations
in environment, and low engagement in the activities. Sometimes, lack of trust has become
problem for us. Furthermore, challenges faced are improper sharing of the issues or half-
shared, mindset was just to accomplish the short-term goals as long-term planning was not
planned properly and lack of the transparency. Change management and inducing the
members regarding the adoption of the change strategy was not perceived and executed
properly (Blanco, Echaluce, Peñalvo, & Conde, 2015). While identifying the group
challenges, it is found that particular challenge was associated with the respective abilities
and their specialisation. On the other hand, interaction is necessary to manage the quality and
effectiveness of the group. Other challenges faced are lower morale and fluctuating abilities
of the team members. They felt that there is a need to improve the self-esteem, value of total
enthusiasm and support from the group (Blanco, Echaluce, Peñalvo, & Conde, 2015).
Conclusion
Initially, it is important to speculate whether the entire team member does not create chaos.
Whereas, it is important to maintain a positive attitude towards each other by motivating
them and encouraging a sense of positivity among the group. I have actually perceived the
value of the team efforts, which actually has surpassed group values.
