INTRODUCTION
Management needs to enhance their ideology and formulate new plans to achieve
different goals and objectives in the market. There are multiple frameworks and approaches
which helps the firm to identify different approaches in which they are lacking and able to
improve it in an effective manner (Slack, and Brandon-Jones, 2018). The report aims to analyse
about understanding the career of the management thinker. For this particular project, the
management thinker which is chosen is Henri Fayol. In this report there will be brief discussion
about the different concepts and frameworks of the chosen management thinker. On the other
hand, there is evaluation their contribution in their company. Along with that, the principles help
them to understand about managing the business situations in an effective manner.
MAIN BODY
Identifying the key management thinker
Henri Fayol is the mining engineer and the individual has also developed the key theories
of business administration. There are multiple management methods which has been
acknowledged by the individual. It helps the different firms to gain competitive advantage in the
market.
Analysing information about the life and career of management thinker
Henri Fayol has given different management theories which the organisation is using in
order to achieve great results in the market. In the age of 19 Fayol started working in the mining
company. While working in the mining sector Henri Fayol observes the working environment
and also learn about new things which is related to management. There are multiple changes
which the individual has made while working in the team. Fayol motivates the employees and
divided the work in a proper manner (Prasad, 2020). There are 14 principles of management
which was developed by Fayol. The main prospectus of these theories is to provide new
perceptions about the management. The theories which was developed by Fayol is used by one
of the big organisations which is planning to achieve growth in their desired industry. It also
applies at different levels of management. It helps the organisation to manage the working
operations in a systematic manner.

Exploring multiple important work done by management thinker in the field of
management
There are different concepts and theories which has been developed by Henri Fayol.
These particular theories helps the firm to achieve different goals and objectives in the market.
There are multiple theories which is been used by the manager to regulate different tasks and
carry out the activities in a strategic manner (Lloyd, and Aho, 2020). The main fourteen
principles which has been given by Henri Fayol is described below:
Division of work – Henri particularly believed that the work needs to be divided in an
effective manner. This will also enhance the quality of the work and carry out the
operations and efficiency of the workplace. There are different strategies and approaches
which can be formulated by the management in order to improve the growth of the
company in the market.
Authority and Responsibility – This is one of the two main aspects of the management
principles. The organisation needs to give authority to the individuals which will
complete their tasks (Mogos, Fredriksson, and Alfnes, 2018). The responsibility needs to
provided to the leaders which will carry out the best results for the company.
Discipline – This is one of the major factor without discipline the goals cannot be carried
be accomplished. There are multiple core values which needs to be followed by the
company to achieve the desired goals in the market. The performance might also be
improved and the employees can finish the tasks in a strategic manner.
Unity of Command – There needs to be a chain established in the workplace which will
help the firm to manage the working operations (Worth, 2020). The higher authorities can
give direct orders to the employees and staff which needs to be achieved by them.
Unity of Direction – There is a significant path which needs to be given by the
management. It helps the company to become more profitable in the market.
Subordination of Individual Interest – This is the factor which shows how the
organisation works in a coordinated manner to achieve the desired goals. The
subordination of the employees is generally important in the workplace.
Remuneration – The organisation needs to motivate the employees by using different
strategies. They can provide them monetary and non monetary support which is
beneficial for the organisation.

Centralization – The organisation needs to establish a good decision making process
which will help them to take the valuable de scions according to the requirements of the
market. They can identify the new evaluating forces in the market.
Scalar Chain – This is one of the most crucial factor which is highlighted by Fayol. The
employees can contact the management in case of any emergence. There is a structure
which needs to implemented while contacting the higher authorities (Dennison, and
Shenton, 2018).
Order – The organisation needs to maintain an effective work culture. This will help
them to regularise and carry out multiple activities in a systematic manner. The order
which is given by the leaders needs to be clear and concise and mention all the detail
which help the complete the tasks prior to time.
Equity – There needs to be no discrimination in the workplace. All the employees needs
to be given equal opportunities and needs to be different benefits by the organisation. The
management needs to rethink on different factors while taking the valuable decisions or
promotion of different individuals.
Stability – The organisation needs to offer job security to the employees which will help
the organisation to retain them in an effective manner.
Initiative The management needs to support the employees in taking multiple
initiatives to improves their overall performance in various aspects. The management can
involve the staff in decision making which will enhance their performance.
Esprit de Corps – The management needs to improve their behaviour and become more
supportive towards the employees. This is help them to build a healthy relationship in the
workplace. The management and the staff needs to be united in order to achieve the goals
and objectives for the company.
Relating the concepts and frameworks of chosen management thinker with a real world
organisation
The fourteen principles which is been described above could help the organisation to
establish a systematic structure in order to achieve different targets. For example, Tesco is one of
the most growing organisation (Anwar, and Abdullah, 2021). They focus on improving different
aspects which will help them to achieve great result in the future. The work is divided in an
effective manner there are multiple duties and responsibilities which will regulate the firm to

provide better products to the consumers as per their needs and wants. On the other hand, there is
proper authority and responsibility. The tasks which is given to the employees is always carried
out efficiently. This is the major reason for the success of the organisation in the market. The
third factor which is fulfilled by the organisation is that the management and the employees work
in a coordinated manner (Abduraimova, 2019). They have the same vision in order to achieve the
desired goals for the company. The company also follows the equity there is no discrimination in
the workplace. This is the major way through which they are able to retain the employees. The
workforce is also skilled due to different opportunities provided by the management of Tesco.
The company has also gained competitive advantage due to different reasons. In terms of their
competitors which is Asda, Sainsbury etc. Tesco has taken different initiatives to improve the
productivity of the employees to achieve better results. There are new advantages which could be
beneficial for the organisation.
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it has been concluded that the management principles which helps
the company to regulate their working operations in a strategic manner. They can carry out the
best results and provide better services and products to the consumer. On the other hand, in this
report the main focus is to improve different aspects with the help of this principles. There are
multiple marketing factors which create a the for them and help them achieve success in the
market. Along with that, the main focus of this report is to evaluate different concepts and
frameworks which the modern day organisation implement in the workplace to become more
profitable in the market. For further instance, there are multiple advantages which can be taken
by the company with the help of these particular principles. Most of the principles which helps
the firm to implement an effective behaviour in the workplace and improve the productivity of
the employees.
