Introduction
The following study has showcased the transition of a person from an individual
contributor to a manager. Different research has shown that it is one of the most difficult
skills for a person to make the following transformation. The professional needs to be
equipped with new skills that helps to address the different areas of the success. The presence
of the best skills thus helps the person to develop himself professionally (Maurer and London
2018). It is important to have a certain goal in life in order to achieve the success. The setting
of the agenda and the priorities will help a person to follow the right path and take the right
strategies that are necessary for the development and achievement of personal as well as
professional achievements.
Transition and its factors
The transition to a managerial role from just and employee of a firm involves a large
number of windy paths that involve a lot of different challenges. However, taking up the
challenge and facing each of the tasks in an efficient manner can be helpful for the
personalized development. It is the tasks of a contributor to stand in a unique manner and
produce and innovate tasks in such a manner that it distinguishes a person from the others
present. The very first thing that needs to be done in the transitional process is the setting up
of the agenda that will set aside the major priorities for the team and also the individuals
(Park and Faerman 2019). The setting up of the priority will help in the development of the
persons. It is also important for the person to stop solving the tasks and delegate people to do
the tasks by providing the best solutions accordingly.
The management of the time is critical for the business organization as because the
proper time management can help the person to develop into a better individual and also
improve his performance. The management of time can be utilized to learn new tricks of the

business. Therefore, the role of a person as an individual contributor and the role of a person
as a manager is totally different from each other and requires thorough detailing. The change
of the roles will involve a much increased responsibility from the part of the people.
Thus a future leader or a manager must have the capability to be futuristic, strategic
and innovative. According to, Terblanche Albertyn and Coller-Peter (2018) he should be a
person who can inspire people and make them work. The futuristic ability of these people can
help the easy transformation. Jim Sinegal has been a leader by example as he was just an
employee of Costco (Thorn et al. 2015). However, his exceptional leadership skills made him
the manager and now a great leader of the company.

The presentation of the following report has highlighted the transitional process of a
person from an individual contributor to a manager. The transformational process and the
factors involved has been showcased in this particular assignment. The transitional process
and its importance presents a great source of knowledge for the readers. The thorough review
