The Developing Manager

Introduction
Management is a very big role played by the
organisation to manage their employees and motivate
them to work on the same platform and keep the
bonding strong be being a single sole or single unit.

2.1 Assess own management skills performance
As a general manager of the Dorchester Luxury
Hotel in London there are following skills:
Internal personal skills includes interaction with
consumers, clients and communicational. In interaction
the manager should talk properly to the employees.
Interaction means talk or communicating with others
should be properly. Manager should share all the
feedbacks to the employees given by the clients which
will reduce the mistakes made in the services.

2.2 Analyse personal strength, weakness, opportunities and weakness
Strengths
Good decision maker: I am good at taking
decisions by managing and understanding the
work or the process.
Strong communication skills: My skills in
communication are strong because I am very
fluent while speaking and clear so, that the person
can listen to my words clearly.

Short tempered: I am very short tempered due to
which most of the times conflicts occurs during the
work.
Autocratic approaches: I am an autocratic leader
because of that I sometimes, I don't make
consideration or involvement of my colleagues in
the many activities.

time and properly. Then my responsibilities will
also increase by getting hike in the post.
Improvement in skills: To improve my skills I will
attend different training sessions which are very

My first weakness is lack of professional knowledge for that I have to read the cases and
update myself so that I can use the latest information via internet or magazine.

Second weakness in which I have to work is stress management. For that I execute
things according to the plan.

Third is Time management for that I make a schedule and divide the work in task and
then decide which task is taken first this lead to proper execution of the project
