There are five most basic challenges that are faced by manager of Premier
Inn(Edmonton) while performing its several functions and activities such as
rapid changes in customers expectancy, keeping hotels updated with
innovative technologies, incorporating sustainability and cleanliness.
Technology is upgrading in each few seconds so it is difficult for manager to
adapt or make use of several innovative technologies in order to deliver
qualitative services to customers (Abah, 2017).
Due to more alternative options available to customers to choose particular
hotels and resorts they started demanding more services at reasonable rates.
Thus, it is another challenges or key issue faced by manager of Premier

Tourism and hospitality sectors has caused great harm to natural resources
and climate of host country so people are forcing companies to take steps

As per view of Bolisani and Bratianu, (2018), There are different management styles and theories that are used by manager to
influence and handle wide range of people so that desired goals can be achieved in best possible manner.. There are number of
famous management theories that are also used like administrative, bureaucratic, human relation and systematic. Most of the firm
managers are making use of transactional, human relation, systematic theory, in contingency to manage diverse individuals and
contribute in growth and success of enterprise. Such as in contingency theory manager change its style as per situation and
circumstances so that employees are motivated to give their best for growth of firm. In systematic theory, a strict
procedure and steps are followed by manager in order to complete its task and contributed in achievement of company
goals.
From the point of view of Williams and et.al., (2017), there are number of challenges and issue that are faced by manager in
hospitality industry such as higher customers expectancy, sustainability and management of people that belong to different
believe, value and thinking. With increase in alternative options or hotels, restaurants customers have more switching
power to choose other firm for satisfaction of their respective needs. Manager is also facing challenges related to effective
management of brand in minds and hearts of customers so that company can grow and sustain for longer time frame.

Yes, As stated by challenges and issue Khosravi and HUSSIN (2016), have both cause and affect in hospitality
industry all this changes trends forces organisation to invest time, capital in sustainable management of
resources or abide to ethical values principle while operating different functions. Effect is that company can easily
increase sales volume and profitability by meeting expectancy of customers in best possible way.
Another author Sridhar (2017), illustrates some of the impact of range of challenges and issue on organisation
like it can lead to poor retention of hardworking and talented employees within firm. Less customers
satisfaction and profit margin as manager is unable to adapt to external trends in limited time frame and cost.
As noted by Adziska and Miceski, (2020), contingency is modern management theory that state that manager adapt its styles as per
situation or circumstance in order to manage and handle several individuals. It face lot of challenges in motivating employees as per
external changes due to difference in taste and preference of individuals. Therefore the main challenges that is face by premium inn
to handle diverse individuals as per changes in external trends and taste and preferences of people. It is relevant as it helps in
understanding key issue or managerial problem faced by Premium inn manager while completing its task.
