The presentation was educational as the situation provided was challenging. The
challenges were provided by the fact that the organization in concern had to reframe
their service to make the resort a 4* one.

The presentation was persuasive, as the problems have been identified as the ones
involving national level policies and required the intervention of policy makers as
well as activists.

I was not surprised by the scenario but faced challenges while dealing with it. The
challenges were even more prominent because of different bodies both in the national
as well as international level.

The situation-involved policy level decision making and included state level
stakeholders behind its mitigation which made it a challenging scenario to work with.

The mode of the presentation was educational as it provide the student the opportunity
to generate solution in case of decision making. The ctreative aspect of the student
have been elucidated by the participation of student in strategizing several method.
One of such method can be collaborating with survivor sports for promotional related
activities through celebrities.

The presentation was persuasive because of the fact that the solutions generated were
practical. The solution involving selling away the cottage might appear emotionally
challenging to the owners but might prove the feesible in long run.

Though the scenarios are common, yet the capability of the company to ensure the
quality of the product and yet facing criticism had struck me with surprise. It suggests
lack of proper marketing measures to communicate with the buyers.

I have been interested in solving ambiguous e scenarios that are intrinsically
challenging and the scenario provided me with that opportunity.

explain and mitigate the crisis. In case of the presentation the model was

The topic was fruitful in my case as it enhanced my understanding of the topic and
developed my competencies in case of decision making in any dynamic scenario.

Group review
In a group of three, we have carried on with the assignment, which involved the
problems of managerial decision making in its three steps. The first step involved the
identification of the challenges; second situation involved generation of strategies and the
third one was concerned with implementation of the strategies. The situations provided
through three questions quenched our quest for knowledge as well as mad us encounter
situation, which might have been precedent in the real life.
The first situation involved created by urge of the company to mitigate the
consecutive loss faced by it. One of the strategy chosen by the company in this respect is to
enhance the productivity of the company. The situation demanded creative perspective of the
student so that the crisis can be mitigated by intervention of transformational leadership. The
next situation involved the generation of strategies that involved dealing with a situation
concerned with health factors. The last situation involved mitigating the challenges with
proper managerial intervention.
The presentations were created to exhibit the learning of the students and the values
and aspects inculcated them in the mode of learning. The dynamic scenario provided the
students with the opportunity to explore and come up with creative outcome. The creative
outcome provided by the student involves the one developing a new strategy whereby the
comoany can collaborate with media houses and use the survivor reality shows as a popular
medium to market their resort.. Thus the aspects were formed in order to create the
competence of the student to the challenges common in the real life.
The educational aspect of the learning can not be denied. The situations provided had
their intrinsic different and most of the situation catered to the particular taste and the field of
interest of the students. While one student focused on creating a marketing strategy in

creative manner another student focused on the managerial aspects. The aim of the third
student was directed towards communication with the national level policy holders. The aim
of each of the scenario is different from one another but the dynamic approach of the
situations welcomed the approach of the students.
As the aim of the presentation was to focus on furnishing strategies on behalf of
the organization. The creative attributes of the decisions as furnished by the student
appealed to the audience. Out of the eye catching strategies the ones involving the
creative perspective of the students in suggesting collaboration with survivor sports in
order to promote their business appeared as creative and innovative business strategy.
However, the reactions on the suggestion of selling away the resort to the government
stakeholders in order to eliminate the loss did not appeal much. Presentations could
have been improved by using different leadership model instead of one and furnish a
few more creative strategies. The feedback received was as per expectation of the
students and opened up the scope for future improvement.
The situation have been dynamic, challenging and required the critical thinking of the
students in order to mitigate the crises. Thus, the students have provided the best of their
capabilities and the journey has been fruitful so far as the enhancement of the students is
concerned. As students, we feel extremely privileged that we have been provided such a
dynamic situation of learning. Such situations provided us with the opportunity of exploring
our capabilities as well as create our competence, which would be beneficial for us in our
future endeavors, as it will a stepping step for us.
