Group Reflective Review-Journal
This group reflective review journal is dedicated to narrating our team-work
experiences while presenting the important topic of ‘Emotion and Motivation’. I want to
mention that our group presentation seemed educational to our tutor which was the best part
of our group task. They gave us the feedback that our presentation was educational and it was
adding to the specific situation of the divorce in life.
In addition to that, our group task completion went well as the presentation seemed
persuasive to the tutor as they expressed that it was clearly related to the real-life case which
is divorce. I found that our presentation or work was also surprised by our teachers as it was
showing a relationship amid workplace and personal life at house. The fact which makes me
enthusiastic and interested in our group presentation is that we demonstrated the concept of
modern bounded relationships.
The learning acquired from the group PPT task suggests that there are various
perspectives that enhance the scope as well as arena of the thought process of an individual.
To me, rational decisions are always fruitful in order enhance the stability in professional
relations. All of us group members learned about external influences as well as challenges in
decision-making. Furthermore, this task made us learn that logical reasoning helps in
undertaking unbiased decisions while also averting biases in the decisions.
Simultaneously, some things did not go well, which were including challenges in
group decision-making and situational, cognitive constraints. In the context of managerial
decision-making, I leaned the rationality in contemporary decision-making process. I believe
that there are some ways with which our group presentation could have improved in positive
way, which are as follows:
More illustrative examples could have been added
More pictures and statistics could have been added
Post presenting the PPT, I realized that presentation could have been explained in a
better way rather than just reading out as mentioned by the tutor also
At some point in time, explanation of the PPT was missing, which could have been
improved by using effective communication skills.

Apart from this, the feedback which we have got after the presentation was not
received as expected, as we expected it in more positive ways. I believe that we did not
anticipate, plan, practice and then execute our group task, which resulted in wrong
expectations from our side. I also realized that we did not work as hard as we should have,
but we expected very good feedback from our tutor. In this way, it is clear that we did not get
the expected feedbacks all across the whole module from our tutor. However, the tutor was
completely right their position because we could explain the presentation in better way.
In whole, I can now conclude that ethical approaches are required for gaining loyalty,
respect, trust, and independence from the professional clients. Moreover, effective
communication skills are an essential element while preparing or presenting a presentation in
front of an audience.
