INTRODUCTION
Report is going to keep its focus on accommodation facilities that are basically available
within the hospitality industry. Along with this, assignment is also going to be enclosed with role
of front office department within hotel.
P6. Review the key roles found within the housekeeping department in a selected organisation
There are a range of roles present under housekeeping department of different hotels like
Ibis which stays responsible for managing, cleaning the room and keeping the hotel healthy
through regular cleaning of rooms and so on. In present context, their roles at Ibis are given
below:
House keeping department of Ibis hotel where housekeepers requires to clean bed, remove
dusts from different areas, mop floors and cleaning the bathrooms are specifically required.
Delivering clean uniform to different staff members and then to take dirty ones back to
laundry room.
Keeping chemical substances away from public and more based on the policies made by
Ibis is required to be followed (Odunlade, 2012).
Develop effective communication or responsibilities with clients that has visited Ibis.

Through this, maximum benefits could be gained by hotel right on time. On the other hand,
since Ibis has kept its focus on regularly maintaining its plumbing along with electrical
system. Than its problems could be resolved in specific time frame.
