INTRODUCTION
In the modern era, equality and diversity play crucial role in enhancing business operation as
well as implementing task in required manner. There are different issues and problems that are
associated with equality and diversity practise in organisation (Annanperä, Liukkunen and
Markkula, 2016). It is important for organisation to manage these issues and problems in
correct manner in order to attain set goals of business. Increase equality and diversity practices
with in company will support organisation in conducting business task as well as creating strong
relationship with employees. The major reason for inequality in organisation includes
discrimination of the basis of age, gender, colour, region, background and other aspects. This
report is based on Airdri organisation. This is a small and medium size organisation that is
operating its business operation in UK market area. Airdri organisation is developing high
quality products and services in order to meet with the needs of customers. This organisation was
developed in1974 and founder of Airdri is Peter Phlipps and Peter Allen. This report will
includes research regarding equality and diversity at workplace. This will consist of different
aspects that are included in project management plan along with this work break down structure
and Gantt chart is analysed properly. In this different methods of data collection are determined
and along with this different tools or techniques are used properly. Apart from this appropriate
recommendation on the basis of data analyse is provided. It will includes reflection of researcher
on the value and learning from the research.

P2. Produce a project management plan incorporating different aspects of research.
Project management plan can be describe as the procedure that will includes different
various aspects of researcher as well as affect performance of research activities. It is crucial for
investigator to consider different aspects of research such as cost, timescales, quality
management, communication, resources and risk (Bell and Harrison, 2018). These are the major
aspects that needs to be consider by researcher while performing various task of research in
better and effective manner. Various project management planning aspects that needs to be
consider by investigator is mention below in detail.
Scope of project – There are wide scope of this project as it will help in determining different
aspects that is related to equality and diversity with in organisation. This scope of research
project will help investigator to determine and analyse different ways that will support in
enhancing equality and diversity practices with the company. Through this respective
organisation will be able to take better and accurate decision that will lead to increasing business
operations.
Time scale – This refer as the time frame that is required by researcher to perform
investigation activities in better and effective manner. it is essential for researcher to determine
and analyse appropriate time period so that all activities can be perform in correct manner. There
are different tools and techniques which will support researcher to take correct action for setting
appropriate time. For conducting all task of this researcher approx 2 months of time will be
required where as this project will be completed in 4 months.
Management of quality – This term can be describe as the set quality management
practices that is required by researcher in order to perform business operations (Brown, A.,
2013). Quality management is one of the essential aspect of organisation and by management
quality of this research project investigator will be able to collect in accurate and appropriate
data from different sources. This will support in better decision making as well as taking correct
steps.
Communication – It can be describe as the process of collecting information and data
from different sources. Communication is the crucial aspects of research as this support in taking

better decision for performing different function of research project. In this research, investigator
needs to communicate with different stakeholders of organisation and this will help in better
decision making.
Risks – There are various types of risk that is associated with the research and it is
essentials for investigator to correctly determine different risk factors in order to timely resolve
it. The major risk that can have negative impact on this research project is related to time
management, lack of funds, resources and many other factors (Evans and Johnson, 2013). it is
important to resolve these issues and take better step in order to enhance business performance.
Cost - Cost can be describe as the aspect that is related to money and financial activities
of research. By determining correct and accurate cost of project researcher will be able to
effectively perform different research activities as well as help in timely completion of research
project. For this research cost approx £ 250 will be required to correctly perform different
functions. Where as £ 500 cost will be needs to successfully completion of research project.
Resources – There are several resources that is needs by researcher in order to successfully
perform different types of investigation practices. In this research different resources such as
money, assets, employees, laptop and so on will be required to effectively perform all task.

It is crucial for researcher to decide and determine time for different activities of the project. This
will help investigator to take better and accurate decision for completing all set of required task
in correct time as well as enhance performance of research. In order to timely compete different
task of research it is important to provide time frames for all required task. There are different
tools and approaches that will help researcher to provide proper timeframes such as work
breakdown structure and Gantt chart.
Work breakdown structure
This can be describe as the tool that is used by researcher to completing different set of
activities of research project. Work breakdown structure refer as the hierarchical description of
project that is divided into several parts. With the support of work break down structure

researcher will be able to determine classify large and complex task into smaller parts. This will
support in making easier for researcher to complete all required task in set time period.
Gantt chart
It is developed by Henry Gantt in between 1861 to 1919 and it is considered as types of
bar chart which illustrates a project schedule so that project manager can conduct work
accordingly and more effectively on time. In addition to this, modern Gantt charts will display
the dependency relationship among the activities as well as current schedules status so that
project will conducted properly. It is generally used by research and college students so that they
gather information properly on a specific topic so that they can attain their desire goal as well as
objective successfully and effectively. there are several advantage of the respective chart such as
it is simple to use, good visual communication to others which leads to attainment of goal, task
duration can be compared easily which help in decision making as well as it is also considered as
good resources of scheduling (Fageha and Aibinu, 2013). On the other hand, it have several
disadvantage which affect may impact on the project outcome and strategy such as it have
dependencies more difficult to visualize as well as if any minor change will occur in data it leads
to major changes in chart. So it is essential for project manager to consider these factors while
adopting gantt chart.

There are different ways and method that could be used by researcher in order to collect and
gather important information. It is crucial for researcher to collect data from appropriate sources
as this will assist in better decision making. Different method of data collection and analysis is
mention below –
Primary method – This can be describe as the way of collecting data which is gather
form that first time. Primary method of data collection is significant for collecting
original and accurate information (Fernandez and Rainey, 2017). This is significant
method which will provide effective information to researcher as per the requirement of
topic. This includes survey, interview, questionnaires, experiments and many other
sources of collecting information. Primary method of data collection will help in
collecting more accurate and appropriate data for collecting right information.
Secondary method – it refer to the method of collecting information from the sources
which includes primary information. Secondary method is quick and fast method to
collect information but it is not able to provide accurate information as per the
requirement of researcher. This sources will be able to provide information that is already
collected through primary method. It is useful for researcher to consider online data,
books and journals along with business paper in order to collect information from
secondary sources. There are different approaches that could be used by researcher for
collecting data through secondary research. This type of research will support is saving
time and cost of researcher as well as help in better decision making in less time frame.
Qualitative research – This can be research approach that is significant in collecting in
depth and accurate information about the research (Gangotra and Shankar, 2016). In

qualitative research techniques, investigator is more focusing on the quality of
information as compare to the quantity of data. This type of research approach is useful to
taking better and accurate decision by determining different aspects.
Quantitative research - In this type of research approach includes systematic and
numerical data to researcher. This is effective in taking appropriate desicion in easy
manner. Quantitative research will define collecting data in statically and numerical
manner for better decision taking by calculating different aspects clearly.
Researcher has considered both primary and secondary method of data collection that will
help in gather information in more effective manner. For primary researcher, investigator has
consider survey or questionnaire method where as secondary method includes books, journals,
online data, articles and many more (Jeston, J., 2014). In this respondents are employees who are
working in Airdri organisation. Sample size of 50 respondents are considered in order to gain
more accurate information.
