INTRODUCTION
Managing or monitoring firm's activity with the help of innovative technology defines
and analyses critical opportunities and risks within firm to maximize its profitability and
efficiency. Human resource department plays a crucial role in managing the business activities so
that successful and resourceful planning can be maintained within firm. It involves different
functions such as operations, marketing, sales, finance and administration, etc. Management of
the firm identifies that all activities involved within firm are interconnected to each other and
thus, it needs to move in a sequential order (Forsgren and Johanson, 2014). Main focus of the
present study is based on ABC Company which is a recruitment firm and thus, faces serious
issues regarding leadership and ineffective management. Hence, because of such problems,
business faces different types of financial constraints. Report also describes significance of
business processes to identify the goals and objectives of organization. It also demonstrates
different rules and regulations stated by UK government in relation to the health and safety
within firm.
TASK 1
1.1
To evaluate the business structure as well as present culture within ABC Company,
different positions within firm are described underneath-
ï‚· Owner- It involves those individuals who reside at the top position and undertake a
strategic decision to obtain growth and success within firm. Top management helps in
managing and controlling the actions of different departments such as marketing, sales,
administration and finance (Achtenhagen, Melin and Naldi, 2013).
ï‚· HR director- It is the person who possess the authority to undertake recruitment and
selection process within ABC firm. They also involve different HR executives under
them to identify the supply and demand of skilled personnel in business.
ï‚· General manager- Such individuals possess the duties and responsibilities in order to
manage the business activities and direct personnel to carry out smooth functioning of
business to attain the organizational goals (Turner, Maylor and Swart, 2013).
ï‚· Supporting staff- It involves different individuals with different roles to manage the
operations of ABC Company in relation to identify the requirement of workers, providing

ï‚· Finance manager- It plays a crucial role within ABC Company in relation to manage the
financial operations such as inflow and outflow of cash so that profits can be gained by

ï‚· Staffing manager- It operates its duties under the HR Director of ABC firm and lays the
responsibility of identifying training and development requirements of employees,
demand and supply of workforce, etc (Maryska and Novotny, 2013).

that skilled individuals can be selected for the specific job. It is also essential to identify the
needs and requirements of workers so that it can be fulfilled within appropriate time to obtain the
desired results (Matten, 2015). One of the most crucial elements adopted by ABC firm is
searching and assembling the database of employees in order to build a quality gateway. Within
such element, it assists business to create a huge database of personnel and thus, carries out
selection process of skilled candidates among that database. Hence, it is essential for the cited
firm to place advertisement in the newspapers, job portals, etc. regarding job vacancies so that
potential candidates can be selected. With the help of this, firm receives large number of job

firm to develop appropriate financial department in regard to plan the financial needs
appropriately and thus desired goals can be attained regarding managing cash. These are
discussed underneath-
ï‚· The first step of the process develops strategic plan for ABC firm in which it involves
budgeting function. Thus, it helps in carrying out actual comparison among required
skilled candidates so that job vacancies can be filled (Collis and Hussey, 2013).
ï‚· Apart from this, annual budgeting projection will be carried out by cited enterprise that
allows business to set certain specific profit to be attain by business in a stipulated time
frame. Thence, the chance of attaining more profits enhances when firm set specific

approach as well as quality circles etc. so that it helps in meeting desired objectives of firm. All
these tools helps management of cited organization to implement such systems in relation to
attain desired objectives. It is as follows-

specific goals within stipulated time frame. Here, manager directs and controls their
actions so that proper communication can be made among each other. It helps firm to
