APPLICATION FORM (maximum 200 words per answer)
Why do you want to work for us?
According to me, it is important for an individual to work in a competitive market and
build various skills. Innovation and leadership are essential aspects of business in today's society.
Travel and tourism is a sector that has gradually expanded after globalisation. It is necessary for
staying connected and being safe for doing a prosperous business. Tourism industry is an
attractive industry and I would love to work in this as I am very passionate about travelling. Also
I have keen interest in managing and planning of tours and trips of individuals so working in this
sector will provide me a great opportunity. I can improve skills for managing trips and plans
while doing in tourism industry. I am an ambitious person who want to start business in tourism
sector in future so your company will provide me trainings and opportunities for improving my
skills and abilities. Also while working in the company, I will get to know about concept and
functioning of tourism in more depth. Thus I would love to work with your organisation.
Tell us about a time you worked in a group to achieve an objective (what did you do and what
was the outcome?)
While I was working as a Travel agent, there was a group of individuals who was
working with me. I had to organise trips and plans for clients and customers. I was sent to
various locations with my team mates to identify attractive and destination places around
Document Page
London. I had to provide coaching and training to different team members of my team. I
provided them guidance regarding how to manage yourself in different locations, how to find out
best facility provider for staying of clients, analysing that requirements of clients are fulfilled,
etc. I had undergone research for various clients on the basis of demographics, group motivation,
managing aspects and leadership. Our team accomplished the task of finding four attractive
destinations near London and providing a budget plan for clients. Some of my team members
were demotivated and few were not excited about doing work. But I overcome all these
limitations and provided such team members confidence to achieve their targets in an appropriate
manner.
Tell us about a time when you identified a new approach to solve a problem. (what did you do
and what was the outcome?)
In a tourist industry, the main problem faced by company is decreased brand value
because of negative clients. After evaluating the causes for decline in profit of company, the
main cause is increase of dissatisfied employees. In this organisation, there were many cases
where clients booked a trip or tour but they cancelled their trip due to some genuine reason.
These clients claim for refund of their money. But according to policy of company, it is not
allowed to return a single penny once booking is done. This created a bad image in front of
clients who cancel their trips because of a genuine reason. For solving this problem I gave an
idea to company that money which has to be refunded can be used by client in next trip. No
refund in terms of money will be provided to client but this money can be used by client in
booking an another trip. This created good image in front of customers and solved problem of
decline of company's reputation.
Tell us about a time when you had to manage a number of different priorities and complete a
number of tasks in a short amount of time (what did you do and what was the outcome?)
As mentioned in my resume, I have worked earlier as a Travel Agent Supervisor. In this
Job, I have to manage different tasks. This included working in retail travel outlets that promotes

I have practise many interview session in my graduation and post graduations courses. I
actually able to identified the skills which I posses, also the new extra skills like analytical,
inter-personal and flexible skills that could be added in my knowledge. During the interview
simulation I was able to analyse both positive and negative aspect through which I could develop
my personality. Some of these aspect are mentioned under-beneath:
Positive:
The interview practise helped me to bring a lot of positive vibes in myself. From the
whole class I was the only one who have given emphasis on personal attire which I carry
daily. As it is said that first impression is last impression created in facing an interview
process.
The formal costume which I wore gave me immense confidence while attending
interview sessions conducted by lecturer. The feedback taken from my colleagues helped
me in developing particular characteristics beneficial for facing interview for boosting
career as tourist manager (Munar and Jacobsen 2014).
My communication became effective after practising with one of my classmate. Also I
have learned different languages that could be utilised when facing interviews at different
localities.
I gradually learned how to be presentable in front of interviewer, so that my appearance
reflects my confidence in facing further interviews.
Negative:
The drawback which I identified in myself was, I have poor concentration power while
answering question that have been asked by authorised persons.
If I want to show various experiences then I have to find out examples from various jobs
that I have. This results in not having enough experience to the interviewer.

ASSESSMENT CENTRE PRACTICE – COPY AND PASTE YOUR REFLECTION
NOTES HERE (MAX. 200 WORDS IN BULLET POINT FORMAT)
There were various round that took place before panel interview, so that capabilities of
every students could effectively tested by lecturer. From my perspective in going to assessment
centre practise, I have faced group discussions where I identified some positive and negative
point which I can effectively change in myself. Some of these points are mentioned below:
Positive:
When I went for group discussions in campus, I saw that every individual had different
perception of the topic which was given to us, which helped me to gain new informations
about the particular topic. Also there were effective communications in each team.
I able to seek attention of other members making them understand my perception about
the financial resource that might incurred in gathering informations for alternative
solutions for resolving problems.
While practising assessment centre, one of the best traits which I founded that my
confidence level have increased when giving answers that were put up by lecturers.
Negative:
When I was facing group discussions I learnt that members were not actively
participating in direct discussion. As the communication went unhealthy between
members at the end in assessment centre.
