Introduction
Classroom is place where students learn new concepts. In classroom ample of students
study together and learn from each-other. Here, students also get the opportunity to learn from
the skills & knowledge of each-other. Classroom dynamic refer to the interaction of students and
teachers. The main aim of classroom dynamics is to set such an environment where students feel
comfortable while learning. Also, it aims to set such an environment where students can easily
interact with teachers and other fellows. There are a lot of ways to create a dynamic classroom.
Through classroom meetings, interaction, it is possible to maintain dynamic environment
amongst the student (Farmer and et. al., 2018). The present study is about different concept of
classroom dynamics. It will cover characteristics of group environment, strategies to manage
group dynamics, ways to manage barriers to individual learning. Further, impact of class
dynamics on learning, use of motivational approaches for enhancing group engagement,
behavior management solutions have also been discussed in the following report. Additionally,
this will include ways to minimize risks related to the security, health, well-being of learners in
groups and ways to maintain records as per legislator procedure of organization. At end, tools to
assess dynamics of classroom with use of peer observation, student feedback and recording have
also been discussed in the following study.
TASK 1
1.1 Characteristics of group environment that facilitate learning & development
Group refers collection of two and more people who come together for the
accomplishment of a particular purpose. In other words, it can be understood as a setting where
two or more people interact with each-other so that they can resolve the organizational issue.
During group interaction, people also get chance to learn from each-other. In group, people
having different skills set, capabilities interact with each other which further facilitate the
learning. In this context characteristics of group dynamics are mentioned below:
Shared purpose: In group environment each & every person has a particular purpose.
Basically, people formulate a group together when they have similar purpose (Lee, 2018).
During group formulation, individuals having same goals & objectives come together so that

they can work towards shared goals. Here, they all put efforts for the attainment of pre-defined
goals which further facilitate learning & development among group members.
Trust and openness: It is the most significant characteristic of group environment. Here,
each & every member trusts each other. Also, they are open enough to put their point of view
during discussion. Trust strengthen the relationship of group members and also facilitate further
learning so that they can grow in future.
Diversity and inclusion: Generally, the people of diversify background come together to
structure a group. Each individual has different skills, knowledge (Peurach Cohen and Spillane,
2019). Here, group members get opportunity to learn different concepts while working in a
dynamic group. It facilitates learning & development among the group members in an efficient
manner.
Willingness to correct mistakes: During group working several people work together.
Therefore, it is easy to identify the mistakes of each-other. This develops willingness among
individuals to correct their mistakes and further improve their learning skills.
1.2 Strategies to manage group dynamics
Group dynamics is about behavior, attitude of a group. Basically, it shows the way in
which people of a group interact with each-other. In case of positive dynamics, group work well.
It is easy to attain pre-defined goals by having positive group dynamics. In addition to this,
people of dynamic team are more creative than the members of an average group. In this context
strategies to manage group dynamics are mentioned below:
Establish norms of full participation: Under this, a particular norm has been set
wherein all the team members need to participate fully in group activities. They are required to
contribute in the success of group with their utmost potential. This will help in future growth of
group members in a profound way (Keller-Schneider, Zhong and Yeung, 2020).
Self-reflection: Self reflection is a process of analyzing own performance. Here, the

something different. It is analyzed that students are not likely to learn something merely by
sitting in the classroom or listening their teachers. For learning students successfully, it is
imperative to engage them. For this purpose, ample of ways can be used to enhance the
engagement of the students in the overall learning process. To engage students in own learning &
development the following steps can be followed:
Organize classroom discussion: To engage students, it is imperative to organize
classroom activities. These activities can be group discussion, presentation, games and more. It
will not only engage the students but also improve their learning (Walczak, 2020).
Integrate modern technology: Now, teachers can use modern & updated technology to
improve the learning experience of students. Here, they need to use mobile, laptop, internet,
virtual platforms and other ways to keep the students engage in learning process.
Foster competition among students: Competition is one of the best ways of enhancing
the engagement. While competing with each-other, students learn ample of new concepts which
will contribute in their career growth in future period of time.

During learning process, students are likely to encounter several barriers. Here,
barriers are the issues which prevent students from learning or accessing new concepts. It makes
hard for them to join the classroom and concentrate in the study. General barriers faced by the
individuals are given below:
Presentation problem: Sometimes students are clear about their idea, concept but they
hesitate to present it. This is one of the common barrier which prevent students to demonstrate
their skills and capabilities to others.
Learners do not get appropriate support: For maintaining consistency in learning, it is
required to have necessary support. If learners do not get appropriate support, it directly affects
their learning process profoundly and create barrier in the overall learning process (Finne,
Roland and Svartdal, 2018).
These barriers can be easily managed by adopting the following ways:

their age, gender, occupation, income and other components. To support equality and diversity
among learners, the following ways can be followed:

Provide person centered care: To maintain equal and diversify environment, it is
required to provide person centered care to each and every person. It helps in keeping them
engage in the overall learning process to get better outcomes in future (Olivares-Rodríguez,
Guenaga and Garaizar, 2018).
Treat all individuals in unique way: All individuals are not same thus, there is
requirement to treat all the individuals in different way. For this purpose, teachers need to have
familiarity with culture, values of learners so that they can behave accordingly.
Create discrimination free environment: In classroom, ample of students study together. Here,
teachers need to treat all the students equally. They are required to maintain such as environment

diversify environment in educational setting. In this regard, the major legislations are mentioned
below:
Equality Act 2010: According to this act, all the human beings have right to treated
equally. There should be no discrimination among the individuals based on gender, occupation,
social class and more (Kumar, Bevell and Osman, 2020).
General Data protection regulation 2018: To ensure the safety and security of
learners, this act has been formulated. This act was formulated in replacement of data protection
act. The main aim of respective law is to protect the general information of citizens in an
efficient manner.

Health and safety act, 1974: This act is useful to ensure safety of learners within
learning environment. By implementing the respective act, it is possible to minimize the risk
related to health and safety within classroom.
Welfare policy: This policy is related with the overall welfare of the students. The main
aim of preparing such policy is to mitigate threat related to safety, security and well-being of
students.
3.3) How to maintain confidentiality in context of group information
A group comprises several numbers of people. There is requirement to keep the
information confidential and safe in order to avoid any future issues. The ways to keep the
information confidential are mentioned below:
Safe storage of reports: To keep the information safe, there is requirement to storage the
reports in safe & secure manner. In present time, there are numerous digital as well as cloud
based ways to keep the information safely. In addition, there is requirement to set strong
password so that unauthorized people cannot access the information (Nagro, Fraser and Hooks,
2019).
Used only for specified purpose: The information needs to be used for a particular
purpose. While working in groups, every member get access of wide range of information.
However, this information needs to be utilized for particular purpose as per requirement.

organizational procedure, it is easy to maintain the records in safe and secure manner.

4.1 Tools to assess classroom dynamics
Classroom dynamics is about creating such an environment within classroom where
students and teacher can interact with each-other effectively. Additionally, class room dynamics
refers to offer a comfortable environment to the students where they feel safe and secure while
studying. In other words, classroom dynamics is related with interrelation of teacher and
students. Necessary tools to assess dynamics of classroom are mentioned below:
Identify learning needs: At this, there is requirement to identify the learning needs of
individuals so that appropriate strategies can be formulated accordingly. In this, teachers are
required to assess learning needs of students so that they can take further steps accordingly.
Plan and design learning: After identifying the learning needs, the next step is to plan
and design the learning. For this purpose, it is important to design the course and content
