INTRODUCTION
For successfully managing a business it is necessary to timely conduct research to get
information about latest trends of environment and to keep a balance with desire and demands of
customers and other stakeholders. In today's business environment phenomena of Equality and
diversity at workplace is increasing at employees from different culture and diversified
characteristics are appointed by organisation to have better creativity and talents at workplace.
An inclusive and diversified workforce also provides competitive advantage to organisation
through enhancing their performance (Abdullah and Foo, 2019). For this research chosen
organisation is Bentley which is a British manufacturer and marketer of luxury cars and SUV.
This research report includes aims, objective and timeframes of project. Beside this a small scale
research is also included to gather data to support this research. Use of appropriate tools and
techniques is also made to analysis the collected data. Finally, recommendations and reflection
are also included ion this research report.

P1) Aim and objectives for the project
Regular market research and analysis of business environment is essential for managing a
business organisation as it provides all relevant information need to make effective decisions.
This research ensures better determination and evaluation of factors of business environment and
attitude and behaviour of customers and stakeholders and it also make an organisation aware
about latest concepts and trends that are prevailing in environment (Barzelay, 2019). Bentley is a
multinational organisation which deals in Luxury cars and its business activities include
marketing and manufacturing of theses luxury cars. Its main headquarter is in England, UK but
having its business operations in various parts of world thus, it become necessary for Bentley to
identify and develop strategies for management of diversity and equality at its organisation.
Therefore this research is conducted on Bentley motors with the following aims and objective.

The main objective and focus behind conducting this research on Bentley are provided

To identify the various types of strategies and initiatives that can be developed and
adopted by Bentley to build an effective diverse and inclusive manpower at its
workplace. To determine the possible advantageous and limitation of increasing equality and
diversity at workplace of an organisation.

plan is used to research about the several aspects that are required for effective planning in order
to achieve organisational objectives within a specified period of time. This includes cost, quality,
resource, scope, time, communication, risk etc. that are described below:
Cost: It is related to the estimation of expenses that are made on the different research
activities such as investment, raw material, employees, equipment’s etc. To evaluate the cost of

Budgeting- it is a process used for creating a plan of all the possible expenses that will be
made on a project and allows to determine in advance the amount of finance required to meet the
objectives.

that are faced by investigators as well as project manager to adopts changes as per the research
information. This will occur due to the lack of time as well as efficient resources in order to fulfil
the research tasks. While conducting this research various risk are faced that include technical
risk which is related with random changes taking place in technological environment. Beside this
many external risk related with political, social and other legal issues are also prevailing. Further,
project related risk associated with insufficient finance and time are also faced.

financial resource and other technical resource like various statistical tools etc. are made. Timely
training and motivations is provided to workforce to maintain their efficiency and level of skills.
Scope: It is considered as a helpful aspect that are required to enhance the skills and
knowledge of researchers as well as facilitates wide scope in future and opportunities. As
researcher get high success in future as they have high knowledge towards the uses of resources
and methods of research and data collection.
P3) Work breakdown structure and Gantt chart
There are several techniques and procedure that are used by investigators in order to know
about the winding up of task within a specified span of period of time. In this research report a
researcher used WBS as well as Gantt chart to complete the research activity within the time
period that are considered as follows:
Gantt Chart: It is considered as a time management tool that facilitates graphical
presentation of all steps of tasks in order to provide work simplicity and transparency (Christian,
2019). It displays bar diagram that provides clear information about the task as it shows the
horizontal as well as vertical axis on time intervals that are based on the project activities
schedules. It is very useful for the investigators as it shows the start and end time of all elements

Work breakdown structure:It is related to the project management tool that are basically
used by the project manager as well as researchers in order to appropriately allocate the entire
complex tasks into the smaller sections which are managed and controlled efficiently. Work
break down structure facilitates clear guidelines and frameworks for completing the tasks within
a specified time period as assigning all roles and responsibilities among the working staff
(Doyle, 2019). Using WBS is useful for conducting research in order to avoid work duplication
chances as well as effectively assigned tasks by dividing among team members. This will helps
in achieving research objectives within a specified time as well as remove confusion towards the

Functional structure- in this type of structure all the task are divided and distributed
among various group on the basis of their common function.
Pure project structure- under this type of structure various self contained team are there
which works for full time on project. Under pure project structure the project manger or head
researcher have the total control over the various activities of project.
Matrix structure- it is a structure that facilitates the horizontal flow of skills and
information with the team and drawing employees and team members from different assignment
without removing them from there respective positions ans work.
For this research work use of functional structure is made as provide benefit of
specialization thus, improve and enhance the efficiency of team members.

P4) Research methodology to achieve project aims and objective
Research mythology basically provide a set of specific techniques and procedure that are
used to identify, gather and evaluate a particular set of data related with any specific topic. The
most used resrch method for conduction any research are explained below:
Quantitative Research Method- This method is used for collection of numerical or
arithmetical data for any topic and just provide a perception or viewpoint about behaviour
and attitude of respondents (Gechman, 2019) . Mainly use off polls, questionnaire, etc. is
made to collect data through making use of this method. Data in numerical terms can be
easily converted into tabular or graphical form.
Qualitative Research Method- Use of this method is made by a researcher for
collecting in depth and detail information regarding behaviour and nature of respondents.
The most used techniques for data collection under this research method are observations,
interviews, experiments, surveys, etc. The data collected with the help of this is in
theoretical or subjective form thus, difficult to get converted in tables or diagrams.
Sources of data
The two main origin of data from where data is actually created and gathered by
researcher which are explained below:
Primary source- it is the original source of data from where data is actually generated
and provide first hand information to research regarding any topic without any modification.
Data from this source can be collected with the help of interviews, surveys, polls, etc
(Huovinen, 2019) .
Secondary source- this source of data provide access to pre recorded data which was
collected by some other researcher thus, its is related with some past situation and
circumstances. This data can be collected from past records, documents, literature, journal
and can also gathered from online website (Islam, 2019) .
Sampling – it is basically a method or process of selecting and choosing some pre
determined units and observations from a large population to conduct research effectively in
minimum possible time. Sample is selected on the basis of some common characteristics
and features of population (Kerzner, 2019) .

For this investigation the method used is random sampling is made to remove biasness
from selection process and to maintain the reliableness of research. From the all stakeholders
and customer of Bentley a sample of 30 respondents is selected for taking their perceptive and
view point on the development of Equality and diversity at workplace which emphasis the
needed of strategies and polices to build a more diverse and inclusive workforce. Use of
questionnaire is made to evaluate responses and behaviours of respondent. A questionnaire is a
written document which includes a set or combination of questions.
