The currents study all about investigating the importance of managing cultural diversity in
promoting equality and diversity at workplace by focusing over the TESCO. It is a multinational
retailer that operates in general merchandise and groceries. It maintains a diversified workplace
hence the study would be helpful in providing a basic understanding regarding importance of
equality and diversity practices for organisation. To conduct this study quantitative method was
used which allows collection of data in numerical form that remains much easier to evaluate and
interpret to present appropriate findings. Other than this both primary and secondary sources are
used to gather information. This study put emphases toward finding several issues that TESCO
may face while managing cultural diversity and action it must take to recover from those issues.

Equality and diversity at workplace play a crucial role in managing the employees belongs
to different background much effectively all together at workplace and directing them toward the
organisational goals. Therefore, it remains crucial for an organisation to manage cultural
diversity at workplace as it brings a huge number of benefits for organisation that operates in
different countries (Hatipoglu and Inelmen, 2018). This is so because it provide an understanding
for the culture of new market and consumer behaviour so that they can be treated as per their
expectation and company be able to strengthen its foundation in a particular country. Apart from
this managing cultural diversity also support in enhancing the employees performance and
productivity while keeping them retained in organisation. For further determining the importance
of managing cultural diversity this study is conducted which is based on TESCO a larger
multinational grocery retailer that operates in several different countries (Sanyal and et. al.,
2015). Hence it remain crucial for the company to get an understanding about the ways it can
effectively manage cultural diversity at workplace and be able to enhance its overall
performance.

The main aim of this study to develop basic understanding regarding the importance of
managing cultural diversity at workplace and manner in which it supports in implementing
equality and diversity within the organisation successfully (Wrench, 2015). Further it also
supports in determining the ways through which TESCO can manage its cultural diversity at
workplace effectively so that talent of organisation can be retained for longer.
